Delta Basic with kids

Thanks all. Yes, I’ve read the policy and understand it’d be a risk that we’d be separated if we booked Basic (which is why we have never done it). I wasn’t looking to debate what people should do or what the rules should be - just asking what others have actually experienced.

When it comes to assigning seats for basic, what do they do if there are none together?

I do feel for you. It is like at least $60 (or more) to pick your seat on Delta I think, not sure if I am correct. I just wonder if they will ever reach a price ceiling on this convenience? I can sit in any seat on rhe plane, (especially if its like an hour or an hour and a half flight) but my husband prefers an isle seat, as he is a bit bigger.
