Delta Adding New Flights to Hawai'i

The headline, Delta is adding 3 domestic long-haul Hawaii routes this winter, is a bit misleading because the article indicates startup dates of November and December 2022. For anyone planning trips to O'ahu or Maui beyond those dates from the east coast these flights add additional options.

There should be another article “But in the Meantime, Delta Cancels Dozens of Flights to Hawaii and Customers Spend Countless Hours on Chat Trying to Get a Reasonable Route Worked Out.” Or maybe that’s just me

Ugh. I can only imagine. It just seems like the airlines have so much more power than any other industry to NOT give you what you paid for. I mean “hey we got you there eventually” shouldn’t be ok. (And I don’t mean weather, I mean the “we dropped the less profitable route and now you have FIVE connections instead of two. And we’re not refunding you the the difference. HA!!” scenarios.)

But yay, maybe for my NEXT trip, there will be some good new options!
