Dell FINALLY does the right thing

There have been complaints for years about dangerous Dell laptop batteries. They announced they are recalling 4.1 million of them.

Ok, I just came out from under my rock . What's wrong with the batteries? I typing this on a Dell laptop and am .

well you might want to be careful. They have this small tendency to burn.. and blow up.

It's been no secret in the IT world for years but Dell has been in total denial.

batteries, power cords, motherboards (well, really capacitors, but still), hard drives, the list goes on and on.

No kidding! All we have at work is Dell, and there is constantly at least one PC with a problem. I am on my 3rd motherboard of my own 2 year old PC there.

Dell is just one of many different distributors that has had issues like this one.

This is more of a general problem with lithium battery technology than an issue with any one company or distributor.
