Delivery of purchases ???

I know that you can have purchases at the theme parks delivered to your resort. Is that true of the stores in DownTown Disney and the Boardwalk area as well?

as far as I know is just from the parks to resorts. when were in DTD we just sent them on home

I thought I read somewhere that you can have purchases delivered to your room from shops at DTD. I went back and looked and per themouseforless.....

Merchandise Shipment

For guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel, purchases made at Downtown Disney shops can be delivered to the Guest's room prior to checkout. Purchases made at Downtown Disney shops can also be shipped home via UPS or FedEx.

ETA: I wonder what shops that includes though

I'm curious about this too. Is it expensive to ship to home from DTD? That may be our better option since we're flying.

We have always had shops at Downtown Disney send packages to our resort. As long as you aren't checking out the next day, you should be fine. I have never mailed things from the shops to home. However, I have read on these boards that it is cheaper to send from your resort to your home. That way, you can combine purchases if needed. With the costs of baggage on airplanes, this will probably be the way we go in December with all of our packages!

I have done purchases from the parks and DTD, never from Boardwalk yet, tho as long as you have enough time before you leave, I am guessing that would not be a problem. Always never a problem getting my purchases delivered to my resort.

I plan my park days with my DTD day in the middle so as to have that option for that very reason. We drive to Disney so having purchases shipped home is not an issue for us. We also make a trip to the local Walmart on the first day, first for breakfast in the room items, second for lower cost gifts for the folks back home.

Most airlines allow a personal item carried per person...so a tote style can carry some things home...but I have to say from experience, that I bought so much one visit that I had to purchase a piece of luggage at the resort to get it all home...and that was after I shipped home items ... yeah, sometimes I am a real shopaholic.....just love to get all those "oh, what a perfect gift for so and so" and I LOVE the hand stitched disney suitcase
