Delivering mail during bike week....

Now thats a challenge. My route is right on "the loop" a beautiful circle that goes along the river, past Tomoka state park on a gorgeous tree canopied road, then down to A1A along the ocean. This is a must do trip for bikers during bike week, and well, today I think they all did it. (it was in the 80's) Usually there is no traffic at all on my route. Today it was like- do a house...wait for 300 motorcyles to go by, do a house, wait for 150 motorcycles to go by...well you get the idea. I have to be so careful too, having my steering wheel on the wrong side and no back window, mirrors only. Tomorrow and Sat. should be even busier. Ah, the joys of being a maillady in Florida!

Well, just a couple more days and bike week will be over for a whole year. Hang in there.

A friend of mine works at the Publix on the beach, and she has to take a different route just to get there! Good Luck!
