My parents are coming to VWL with us and staying in their own studio. They'll be arriving on the same day we are, but we should arrive early in the morning while they won't arrive until later in the afternoon. I'd like to make up a gift basket with some wine and snacks for them to have in their room. If I bring it to the front desk when we check in, will they deliver it to my parents room?

no they don't delivery - but they will give it to your parents when they arrive at the front desk.

but since you are there - you could always ask and see if they would delivery to the room for a small fee. Of course you are taking a chance - that your parents would get the room assigned to them.

I would think waiting until they had check in would be better.

Did you make the reservation for your parents using your points? If so, why not add your name to the reservation? Then you can get a key to their room when you arrive (by checking into both rooms) and leave the gift basket in their room yourself. You can arrange to have their keys left at the front desk so they don't have to look for you to get into the room.

Best wishes -

My wife and I had a gift basket sent to our room by my sister one year. It was in the room when we arrived. She called the WDW florist and they delivered it with no problem.
We also sent a gift basket for friends on their honeymoon. They also said it was in their room upon arrival.

I know if you order a gift basket from WDW Florist they will deleiver it to a room for you. I had one delivered to my moms room upon her arrival. I am not sure if you make one up and ask for it to be delivered if they will do it or not?

You might want to PM feralpeg and ask her. She is a fellow DIS'er that has started her own giftbasket company with free delivery to WDW resorts. She probably knows first-hand what they will and won't do. You might want to check out her baskets as well..they are Disney themed and very cute!

Thanks for the input everyone! The prices of the baskets through the Disney florist looked a little steep so I thought I'd just try to do it myself. I did pm feralpeg to get information, though. Thanks again!

If the basket has alcohol in it they may wait until they check in to deliver it. I had one delivered to me and Disney Floral needed to verify I was over the legal age.
