Hi
Am thinking of buying something on line and getting it delivered to our villa, whilst we're there. Does anyone know what is the procedure, if you're out when the delivery is made? Is it like here? Do you have to go and pick your parcel up from the post office?
I know we are being given 2/3 days delivery time, but don't want to be staying in just for a parcel?
Any info, greatly received.
Thanks
Tracy

We had packages delivered to our hotel opposite Disneyland CA, Howard Johnson, they kept them until we picked them up, message on phone to tell us when they arrived.
Fairfield Inn @ Marriott village this Easter they charged us $5 for recieving a package, they then sent someone to the room with it when we were in, so felt obliged to give him another couple of $'s.
Not sure with Villa, would they leave at Gate house? or a reception, I guess it depends on the type of community its in.

Thanks Wayne,
I'ts a private community villa, not gated, so there won't be a gate house. Guess they'll either leave parcel at door, or send it to nearest post office?!
If anyone has any info on this.. please let me know.
Thanks
Tracy

Take a look at www.gardengrocer.com - they do a lot of deliveries in Central Florida (inlcuding Disney). Haven't used them myself but have previously read good reports about others experience with them :thumbsup2 They have a lot of details about delivery but then this is just groceries.

Sorry not quite awake yet this morning - it's just a standard delivery you are talking about not a grocer delivery

Will probably end up being left on the doorstep if the home is registered to accept mail. When we stayed in Indian Creek at Christmas the house didn't have a post box so wasn't registered for mail (I think a lot of vacation rentals may be like this). A delivery was left at our door (a box) but it was just left at the wrong one and we had to take it up the a few doors to the correct addressee - who was a resident. You may need to check the home can accept deliveries :confused3

Thanks Carol.
I was thinking of getting some crocs from Taylors shoes, but sounds like it might be more trouble than its worth! Will probably just order them from Dillards!
Thanks again.

If the villa owner's have a local or nearby Management Company could you not get the parcel delivered there?

I was thinking of buying some hair straighteners from e.bay or an on-line US store and getting them delivered to the G.F. as we don't have car hire for the first 5 days. What would happen if they were delivered a couple of days before we check in? i.e would they accept the delivery and hold it or refuse delivery as they have no reservation for respondendent at that time?
Hope its the first as kinda scary without straighteners:scared1:
