Delish NY Bakery

My wife is totally hooked on the place..... and we haven't even been there yet!!! I just showed her their website, and she was just amazed at what they had on their menu. She's originally from NY; and ever since we moved down to FL a few years ago, there are certain things she's always on the lookout for. We finally found a great pizza place that's worthy of being really NY style. And so far anyway, she might have finally found a great bakery (I gotta admit, she had some nice ones near her house in NY). The only thing left now is a great diner.

Ok, spill for your fellow transplated Northeasterners....where's the PIZZA????

My wife has no problem sacrificing good food for the chance of living near Disney.

We are living in the Maitland area now, and the pizza place is near there; but technically in Altamonte Springs. It's called Anthony's Pizza, and is off of SR 434. If you're near there, I can give you the exact address later. My father-in-law even likes the pizza. He's even a little harder to please when it comes to finding great food.

We just got back from an amazing week at WDW. We DID end up stopping by Delish last Sunday. We stopped there before we even checked into our hotel. DH and I were like kids in a candy store. We spent over a $100 in there. We got the facebook bagels and cream cheese deal. Thanks for the tip! Also, we got the kids some black and white cookies (I had to because of the Seinfeld episode). Also, we got pastrami sandwiches for DH and I and ham and cheese sandwiches for the kids. We took everything with us to our WDW resort. Oh, I can't forget we also got a couple of cannolis.

The pastrami was piled high and OMG so good!!! I took a picture, I'll load it and post later. We had a bagel for breakfast the next morning. For some reason, when I read rave reviews on something I just don't get what all the hoopla is all about. However, these bagels were THE BEST I have ever eaten. Yum! Yum! When toasted, they were crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Just perfect. I meant to tell y'all we had to wait for the owner to boil the bagels for us fresh the day before.

I HIGHLY recommend this place. Well worth the rave reviews!!!!

Crap. After reading Jennifer's report, I'll have to buy pastrami in addition to bagels. I don't want to end up spending $100 in there. But if it keeps this place afloat, maybe I should.
