Delicate question for anyone who's used Disney's Chiavari chairs

I really love the look of these chairs and would love to use them, but I have a sensitive problem ... my dad's weight. I was told by a chair rental place that they only hold up to 300 lbs., and I know he's currently higher than that (around 340-350 maybe?).

What I was wondering is if anyone has used them for larger folks in the past and if you had any problems? I would never want to make my dad (or anyone else) feel uncomfortable or embarrassed by having a chair wobble or creak or - heaven forbid - break!

Obviously if we need to, we'll just use the convention chairs, and that will be that. My dad's comfort will come before anything else. But if we *can* use the Chiavaris, I'd really love to.

Anyone have any experience with this? TIA!

I had the chivari chairs at my wedding. I had never heard of the weight limit nor did my planner mention it. I had two people at my wedding who weighed more than that and there were no issues to be had.

I used them as well and didn't have any problems with guest a few of mine dont make that weight and we're fine.

I would get them they make a big difference on how everything looks. In my own opinion I think it looks nicer with those chairs! Hope you get them!

I totally agree -- I love them! I was so bummed to think that we might not be able to use them, but you all have given me hope!
