How does someone pretty much delete all of their Facebook info, including wall and photos, yet keep their account? This person has never had a "private" block on hers, so everyone can see it.

Now, when I go, I notice the only page is 'Info" which is blank, there's no Wall and there's no photo page. It's just her picture, and a list of her friends.

So, she's keeping her Facebook account there, there's just no longer anything there.

How do you do that?

I believe there is a way to block certain users from seeing some information on your profile. So you can still have them on your friends, but they don't see all of your information. I think it's in privacy settings somewhere.

Interesting, but it's her overall profile. I know, I used another login, and it comes up the same way, It doesn't show anything as being private, there's just nothing there, but her name, profile picture and list of friends.

Yes, the privacy settings are pretty comprehensive and you can block pretty much any content from just one person, a group of people, or everybody.

If you go play around in the settings, you'll see what I mean.

As for the groups, I put my people into groups -- like friends, classmates, family, mafia wars... and depending on what group they are in, they can only see certain info. I keep most of my personal info hidden from mafia wars people, but then my friends and family can see everything.

You can control how much information everyone sees on your FB page with the privacy settings.

Yeah, but then doesn't it come up with a message like "Soand So only allows certain information, blah blah". This doesn't have it...it's almost like everything on her page is gone, except for her friends.

No it doesn't. I've seen pages like that before. She simply set her page that way with privacy settings.

It only says that if you are looking at a page belonging to someone who isn't your friend, as far as I know. Once you are friends with someone, you see everything that they let you see and it looks as though the rest of the information isn't there at all. That's intentional - I suspect it's designed so that each person thinks that they are seeing all there is to see. I have settings on my page so that my friends and family see more than my casual acquaintances do. You can see how it works with your own page - under the privacy settings, choose the profile settings. On the pull down menus choose "Customize". There will be a spot at the bottom that says "Except these people" and you can choose someone and put their name there. Click okay and that pop-up will go away. At the top of the Profile Privacy page is a place that says "See how a friend sees your profile" where you can type in that person's name and see the way your page looks to them. It shouldn't be obvious from looking at that page that they aren't seeing what your other friends are seeing.

Okay, maybe because I'm in her network, but not 'friends". Can you just show your picture and such to your "network" but not have them see your wall and then it won't say"so and so only shows certain info". Because I would like it not to say that also.

No, that's not it. If I put only my profile is available to my network, than my network can see everything. If I check "only friends", I get that message...it's bugging me.

In the privacy setting, did you try the "only me" setting?

Never mind, I see your dilemma.

O.k., I'm now looking at the News Feed and Wall Privacy tab; Actions within Facebook. I have some clicked and some not.

It's weird...how can she adjust privacy settings and not have it say "So and so only allows blah blah" Everyone I know says that when their privacy settings are set, except hers. What did she do and why is it so hard to figure out??

It's really not that unusual. I've seen other people with theirs like that. Mine is even that way. It doesn't need to tell you that it's hiding other information from you. It only tells you there is more information when their page is completely private.... Maybe you should just send her a friend invite so you can see the entire page.

I Facebook and I have it set that only Friends who I approve can see my wall Posts, info etc.

There are certain people on my friends list who I rather not see my business but felt that I had to add them or it would look worse so I added them but block them from seeing my wall posts and activities.

No I have nothing to hide, nothing horrible is said but I don't need the world knowing everything about me. I joined Facebook to connect to friends, not to have future, past, current employers keeping tabs on me and then you get into the stalkers, robbers and other unfriendly types.

So the person may have the same settings turned on so that they can keep their thoughts, activities, etc private.
