I've personally never felt unsafe at DTD after hours... But, as is the theme here... safety is a matter of personal comfort.

If I were you, I'd go there early evening, when there are plenty of people around to make you feel comfortable... and hang around only as long as you feel safe.

I'm not trying to sound like a big scaredy-cat (although I do sound like one!) but last time I went to DTD at night was a few years ago and I didn't feel particularly comfortable there. It was when PI was open, admittedly, but there were large groups of teens hanging around the cinema as well and I felt just a little intimidated. We didn't have any problems, but we didn't hang around long.

I know I've read since that there used to be occasional trouble there, but I haven't seen anything lately. So, now PI's closed, is it different at night at DTD? I'm staying by DTD so hope to pop over there a couple of times, but is it safe enough at night for a solo, or more importantly, does it "feel" it? Should I not go over there at night?

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit afraid, but it was the only place in orlando I've ever been where I actually felt uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get away from before.

I almost laughed at this post not because it's necessarily silly but because I routinely walk around downtown Chicago past midnight on the weekends so the thought of being scared to walk around DD late at night never occurred to me. I've never had any issues at DD, I wish some of the girls would dress a little more classy but it is what it is.

We go to DTD during each visit, day and/or night, and we have always felt safe and never experienced any problems or seen anything bad happening there. Hope this helps to reassure you.

I have never felt unsafe DTD, however I live in Baltimore. Safe is relative to me. There aren't many places where I don't feel safe.

That being said it is pretty difficult to intimidate me anyway. Whenever I see teens acting out, I just give them the evil eye and they usually walk away from me.
