If you are withdrawing currency at an ATM the standard FairFX fees apply (1.50, $2.00), some ATM providers charge for using their cash points however they normally inform you of this before you make a withdrawal.
It was pointed out by Juliebrooke in her postSurprised no one else has pointed this out but remember it costs you $2 PLUS the ATM fee to withdraw from an ATM.
I have purchased a FairFX card for this trip - have never had one before but did have a similar thing when AmEx did one. It was very useful but for some reason, they were discontinued.
I've looked around, and FairFX definately have great exchange rates.![]()
Hi can someone tell me can you top these up any other way than debit card as I only have a cash card at the moment so can you do bank transfer online banking and if so how long for funds to get on your card thanks
Not that I really expect this to be an issue, but what do you do if you still have cash left on the card at the end of your holiday? Are there any charges for converting it back to GBP?
