I think you've answered your own question: if you won't change what you pack, and don't want to hear how others lighten their load, you pretty much have to bear the burden of what you bring.

FWIW: I used to wear a backpack, too (which became loaded with other's souvenirs). I stowed it between my feet, straps around ankles, on most rides. Don't know if it was allowed or not, I just did it.

Since I primarily go solo these days, I evolved from backpack to fanny pack to cargo shorts to carpenter shorts. A tube of 50spf goes in the left utility pocket, moneyclip (DL, four big bills, ONE credit card, insurance card, emergency contact card, 5 business cards) in the left front, single car key (others stay in the car) in the front right key pocket, change, small disposable lighter and tiny Leatherman tool (not exactly allowed) in the right front, phone/camera in the right utility, tickets/passes/hotel cardkey (in snack-size ziplock) and folded paper towels in the right back pocket, poncho in the left back pocket.

For summer, light colored light cotton loose weave long sleeve collared button up shirt with two flap pockets over very light tee shirt. You can roll up the sleeves unless you're a burner like me. Cooler in Florida sun (I'm a SWFL resident) than uncovered flesh - unless you're one of those fortunate critters with bulletproof skin. My legs are extremely sun conditioned, but still get 50spf. A cheap clicker ballpoint, Meds and mints (in a small flat plastic box) in the left shirt pocket, sunglasses and FPs in the right shirt pocket, bandanna around the neck (doubles as emergency tourniquet, disguise, neck shade when under hat, impromtu weapon when wet and rolled), hat with 360* brim on head (cowboy, pith helmet, coolie or bush - depending on mood and season). If I was only allowed to wear two items, it would be a pair of Crocs and a good hat. VillageHatShop.com has a great selection of unusual choices.

Crocs with no-show athletic socks for waterproof maximum shock absorbency and blister prevention. Socks go under belt for wet weather puddle splashing fun. Pretty good results with running shoes also if weather permits. At 3pm, I'm still taking big strides with a grin on my face when the pack mules in fashion shoes are slowly limping home.

Water comes from fountains adjacent to every bathroom. Carrying water around in disposable bottles in places with lots of clean water available is a recent and bizarre social malady. On the odd occasion when I buy anything I'm not ingesting, I use the free pickup service to get it at the gate of the park when I leave. There are lockers near the front of every park, but if you're going to use those why bring anything at all on your back?

All of that might not mean anything to you now, but when you eventually become frustrated at hauling all that stuff around it could ring a far away bell. Your results may vary. Member FDIC.

all wdw parks have a locker - at mK it is front.
at Epcot is near Spaceship earth.
don't remember where AK or Studio is located.

would also bring a fanny pack - what you can't store in the fanny pack would leave in the locker. You can ride most of the rides with a fanny pack - just have to move it sometimes

I bring a backpack in the parks with me. It's not a large one, but it could fit 1 or 2 standard size textbooks in it.
I have never found any ride at Disney I couldn't bring the bag on with me. Most rides are tame, so there is room to just set the bag at your feet inside the ride vehicle.
On the more thrilling rides, like RnRC, EE, and TT, there is usually a pocket you can put a bag in. Depending on how much was in my backpack at the time, it didn't always fit in those. But I just looped the straps around my legs and braced my feet in front of me. I have never had an issue with a bag falling off that way, even with RnRC, which goes upside down.

I always bring a bag either a backpack or messenger with my DSLR , a few lenses, water and whatever else I need for the day. If the bag doesn't fit in the mesh bag holder (usually doesn't) I wrap the strap around my leg. The only ride I can't take the backpack with me on is Soarin. There I leave it on the floor & off to the side. Water rides like Kali I wrap it in a garbage bag before putting it in the center.

I use a small shoulder bag when i go to theme parks alone big enough to fit a book and a drink plus bits n bobs in,
its nice and small, so it sits next to me or at my feet on the rides,
off the top of my head its only universal that have no bags full stop restrictions.

i went solol to wdw in may and i am also a heavy packer i had a backpack and i could bring it on every ride theres always a place to put it at your feet or like was said on soarin off to the side i never encountered a ride that was a prolbem i was nervous about rnrc but it was fine there to you should have no prolbem
