Yes, there WAS a Triceratops Encounter attraction just like you described, it closed several years ago, but there's many rumors that it could be coming back in time for the opening of the Wizarding World, to increase capacity. There's an ongoing thread on OrlandoUnited.com about it.

I saw her in 2000. Freaking amazing! That thing breathed, moved and peed! My son who was 2 1/2 at the time thought it was the best thing EVER! I really hope they bring her back!!! She was really cool.

Wait it peed?! Had to be real right lol! I was lucky to see the trike during my 1st IOA trip in 2001.

It be so cool to see it again. :cool1:

It also sneezed & mucus (water) sprayed out. To this day my daughter remembers the dinosaur & still asked me if it was real (she is now 13 ). That would be awesome if they bring it back!!

Some old pics of mine :)

At IOA there is still the huge fossil, that was the sign for the ride. Today it has a definition of the Triceratops :thumbsup2

Unbelievably, I managed to find an old video tape I had from my trip. I was determined to get some more info! Amazingly, I had the whole show on tape! Almost made all the memories come flooding back! (It was a looooong time ago!)
And yes, it peed! But it then broke down. And from a quick scan of the tape, it seems it was shut for the rest of the trip.
Does anyone know why it was shut down though? From my tape it looked amazing, while it was working! And it must have cost a pretty penny to build. Was it just because it always broke down?
(My ex-wife thinks it probably broke out of it's cage and attacked a guest and the whole thing was hushed up, a bit like her "Mickey Mouse is really a serial killer" conspiracy. I think she's forgotten her medication again)
Anyone?

It's possible that instead of 'pee', it was a malfunction that allowed hydraulic fluid to leak out of the triceratops. We were at the Country Bear Jamborie a few years ago, when a bear sprung a fluid leak. As the fluid poured out, he bent over and stopped working. They stopped the show of course and everyone had to leave.
