If you're in a scarezone, they will try to scare you!! They do have safe zones in between scarezones, I'm not sure if there's a way to travel without pasiing throuhg at least one. Someone who's been before can give you more detailed answers.

This is last years map, but the SZ locations will probably be about the same.

Once you enter the park, you have two choices, down Plaza of the Stars or down Hollywood.. both have a SZ. And even some of the areas that aren't SZs have people in there to scare you.

But the SZs are not as bad as houses, but they still will try to scare you.

Maybe it's me but I haven't really liked scarezones the past couple of years. I remember "Field of Screams" and "Fright Yard" from 2004 which were both really good and "The Skoolhouse" area last year wasn't too bad with the lit pumpkins everywhere but they just don't do it for me like in previous years.

I agree too. If something was supposed to scare me in Fractured Tales.. well then I missed it. The Path of Wicked wasn't that scary either.. the flying monkeys was a cool effect though. Some of this years look promising... so hears hoping things will start to get better :yay:

I have never been to HHN before and I have a couple of questions:

1.) I do not really like haunted houses but will I be okay in the scare zones or other areas?

2.) Can I wait in line for a haunted house with someone but then leave when they go in to meet them at the exit?

3.) Do people walk around and scare you or do they generally leave you alone unless you act really scared?
1)SCARE zones are just that. If you know how to maneuver through them (I do) then you can get by without getting scared, but that's part of the fun!

2)No. If you try that, THERE WILL BE A GIANT MUMMY THAT WILL EAT YOUR SOUL!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Kidding, kidding. You can do that. Just tell the TM (orange or black STAFF shirt) at the house entrance that you need to exit. They'll show you the way out.

3)They are trained in the Art of the Scare. They will try to scare those who seem scared (successful victims) and those that are unaware/distracted. Those who are Aware will usually not get scared, but the scareactors can try...

Sorry for all the questions I just wanna know what I am getting myself into! I like scary movies and stuff but I can be a chicken when it comes to people jumping out at me (bad experience at six flags once!)

why do you want to go if you don't want to do any of the houses?

if the people you are going with have the express pass and you buy one so you can spend time with them in line, that is a lot of money just to stand in line and not do houses. i'm sure there are chicken exits. i have seen a few people change their minds before entering a house.

if you are afraid of the unknown, why don't you go to the park in the daytime and you can see some of the items that are partially covered up.
you can also see the lanterns that are in one long walk area.

if you don't get upset of what you can see in the daytime, you might be okay for the hhn event with the houses.

you could handle the SZ if you can ignore the scareactors that are in those areas.
don't run and don't scream. they will move along to another victim then.
they will only concentrate on you if it is obvious you are scared.

many people go to hhn for the thrill of being scared.

if houses really aren't your thing, and you go, take in bill and ted's show and rhps. they are good and most peeps enjoy them.

go to youtube and check out past videos of prior HHN.
you might feel better and calmer about going if you can see the set up for the event.

if you are referring to six flags Fright Fest, HHN is nothing like that event.
it is more intense and professional.

fright fest caters to the entire family.
from littles to adults.

hhn isn't a place to take children to.

check out the cost and dates for hhn.

go on one of the days where it is the cheapest for you.

if your mom has the ap, it is a good deal for tickets.
since you are a floridian resident, go with the coke promo for tickets.
the info is on the website.

i hope it all goes fine for you on your visit to hhn.
