Discon2 - is the DIS annual convention, basically its a large group of people from here who get together at there favourite place i.e WDW. If you go to the DIS Convention 2002 - A Gathering of Friends boards there is lots of info on it, but registration isnt open as yet. Its centred around the Swan and Dolphin hotels 4th-8th Dec.
