Deleted Characters: Did anybody else notice this?

I decided to log on to all the mule players we had so they wouldn't expire. Some already had, so I decided to give them a new name for fun. Much to my surprise, the characters were created as born in park. They got the extra rooms and the black ears. Also, they seem to perhaps retained the credits they had before as it wasn't 200 credits (one was 3175, one was 1205). I don't recall if these characters were actually made in the park or not (it is possible, though). If they were, they retained that. If not, they got it.

What I have found is eactly what you have said - accounts that are deleted due to inactivity are left with the credits that was in their account at the time. These "new" accounts can then use the multi-use credit codes again and visit all the NPC's as is they never existed.

Born In Park accounts are "reborn" with the green turnstile, Disneyland 5/9 pin, and Black Mickey ears.

It pays to keep a list - last night I was going through my list of fun names that I had created, and noticed that many of them had been deleted :( But the good side is they were all Born In Park - so I was able to harvest all those ears for myself.

Only characters that were originally Born In Park will come back as such.

I'm not sure I like this feature. Yes, people who made mules in the parks will be able to get all those added bonuses. But, I've noticed people making threads on VMK fansites complaining that their character was deleted. What if someone who knew that character was born in park read that thread? Not only could the they impersonate that person, but they'd get all their credits and born in park items. :\ Plus, I can see the value of black Mickey ears sinking even farther...

No way that someone could "take over" a deleted account; they would have to have the person's login information. As for reusing the names though, I have always wondered about that.

Fortunately, I did have a list of the characters (spreadsheet!) so I revived some of them and did discover that there were some not born in park that then did not get the mickey ears. I did not try to get the same title, but maybe I will revive another to see if that could work.

So you went to find your acct deleted and they asked if you wanted to create a new character? I thought you just created one with the same title as the deleted account.

I have tried to revive old titles, and so far it has not been possible.

I guess I'm missing something there too... how do you "revive" a deleted character?

I have quite a few mules that I run through every couple of months just to maintain their status... and the last run through a few that I used to use often no longer existed and a few that were "born in the park" I never did pull stuff off of the first time but was waiting to do so and they didn't work- again...

When an account has been deleted, and you try to log into that account again a message pops up that says - sorry your account has been deleted due to inactivity. (not an exact quote)

And the window pops up where you choose a new player name and appearance - it is basically like creating a new account, but with the old logon information.

We have 4 VMK Characters. My granddaughter isn't on hers much but does come on only when she visits here. I am usually the 1 to log into her account to get her new stuff. I was the last 1 on her account last week, did her credits and bought the new bench. This week her account will not log in. All it says is no such account. Even if I try to log into the Disney site. I figured I may have forgotten her password. and clicked on forgot password. Filled in the info and they sent me the password.

I know she is not banned, as I didn't talk to anyone when I used her account. Just quickly got the stuff and left.

This is getting stranger all the time. At the bottom of the VMK login page I clicked on "YOUR ACCOUNT. Then clicked on "Forgot Your Acount ID".

Got the email reminder and they said the character id is "EnoughAllReady" and the ID is dormant. I never used "EnoughAllReady" as an ID. It should be Conknet. It has been Conknet since day 1.

I am now waiting for a call back from VMK

That's bizarre - hopefully they can get that figured out for you.

These accounts that I am referring to have not been logged in/dormant for 6 months, and therefore have been deleted.

If a mule account is logged in often - it will not be deleted unless it stays dormant for the 6 month period.

i try to log in but i click the log in icon nothing appears i use contact us i use right info it says its wrong is vmk down or am i deleted >_<:sad2: :guilty: :sad1:
