We stayed there during that time. It was wonderfully peaceful. Our kids swam in the heated pools, played ping pong, did crafts, went on a nature walk along the marsh, did a beachcombing walk, and rode their bikes all over the island. They also enjoyed the kids' night out activities and teen night out. My DD hung out with the teens in Big Murggie's, playing billiards, etc. and all of the CMs were phenomenal with the kids and teens. We did the family campfire and on New Year's Eve both kids went out to the kids' and teens' parties and had an absolute blast -- the teens played volleyball etc. at the beach house pool. We all LOVED it! Sadly, we won't get there this Christmas week, though we will be spending our third Thanksgiving at HH and we LOVE that too!

We have been over the holidays 3 times. It is a great time to go and we have seen times when DS swan in the heated pool to times when temps were in the 30's and we had gloves, hats and winter coats for flag football on the beach for New Year's Day. There are great kid activities our DS participated in like making pepermint ice cream, march exploration, movie night out, NYE party for kids. We shopped on the island and got some great after christmas bargains. When we were there on Christmas eve, we went to a live nativity christmas pagent in Sea Pines at the stables. It was very professionally done and they had live animals for the kids to pet. There was a huge crowd..it was free and sponsored by a church on HHI and they gave each kid a candycane and the story of the cany cane as they left. They also had voluntary donation bins. We really enjoyed it. We cooked christmas ham and fixins in our studio, but for NYE we went out for early dinner then stayed in for the countdown. It is a great place to be for the holidays. We will be at BCV this christmas week , but will be at HHI for NYE on our drive back to Boston.
Maybe we'll see you!
