OK so I living in Georgia finally bought an AP. I mainly did it because we go twice a year and have lengthy stays. We are staying 12 days next week (with two for US/IOA). So basically I want to know if you got another AP :). We were going to The Plaza but still can't get your review out of my head. I have also read other bad reviews too. Finally going to CP. Can you tell I am excited?

Oh what a wonderful Valentine's present!
Hey - I am down there in May, I will be hoping for a Andy-roo and Blakers sighting!

Blake looks so intent on studying his map!! Very cute!

You got some great shots of the boys on this day! They look so cute walking through Fantasyland holding hands!

We loved the interactive line at Haunted Mansion! We went through in the dark and it was so much fun! :thumbsup2

I cannot stand line cutters. I mean seriously, one person holding the line for 10 people is just ridiculous. It never ends well.

Blake is getting so close! It's like, so close and yet so far from 40". I hope that he's grown a bit. That will be so exciting for him when he can get on his first 40" attraction.

We've seen cutters quite a bit, but I'd never seen so many join just one waiting person! I don't know why the wait took so long, but there really wasn't much of a line either. She should've waited for them!

Blake's getting there, but we haven't hit the magic height just yet. :sad1:

12 days?? Jealous!! I don't see us ever staying so long in one visit. And no, you don't seem excited at all! :rotfl: Hope you have a great time! Where are you staying this time?? Any chance of a TR?? While we'll never go back to The Plaza after all that, you might love it! Lots of people seem to and I hope your experience is great. It has a pretty nifty location so I wish we'd had a better time. Have fun!! It's almost time for your trip!!

Unless I can talk John into going to MK for dinner tonight, we won't be passholders for a little while longer. :sad1: Soon though!

Wasn't it? :woohoo: Have fun in May! :yay: Ya never know when we might need a Disney day, so maybe we'll run into each other finally. (Did you have a ticker? Why doesn't siggy stuff show when you reply to posts anyway? Annoying!) I don't see anything special that month for us, since Andrew's still in school then but who knows... I'd love to be able to do at least a day trip every month this AP year, whenever we start it!

Blake loves his maps! I love the pics from this day, too. Thanks!

I don't think we've ever been on Haunted Mansion when it's dark outside! I'd never thought about that before. I bet that stuff is nifty then. You've just inspired me on a future visit. :thumbsup2

Poor Blake not being tall enough to ride. That's got to be hard for him. I hope he makes 40 inches soon. Is being tall enough for Kali River Rapids any consolation?

I love the picture of the boys holding hands in Fantasyland- so cute!

The show started with a new-to-us Mack the pirate. We’d always seen an older, shorter man. Not that he isn't entertaining, but this one was awesome. I laughed so much through the show. I’ll admit that the pirate tutorial sometimes bores me and I don’t exactly pay attention through it all. The boys really like it, so you know we’ve seen it a few times. My lack of attention in the past will kinda pay off later this day though. ;)

When Mack began to put the rope out at the start, he accidently knocked a little girl’s package of crackers over. They spilled onto the ground and her mother rushed to clean it up. Over and over, she said it was okay, but the girl looked a little sad. Mack bent down to pick up a few. I assumed he was helping to clean up until he started eating them off the ground! Everyone was cracking up. The little girl no longer cared about losing those crackers! It was great.

He continued on with show, crunching away on crackers. We all couldn’t stop from laughing each time he popped one into his mouth. It was all quite funny, despite being the same lines we’d heard again and again. He pointed John out to ask if he was with the authorities. My silly husband said he was. (He’s so not!) I can’t remember what Mack said back though, but I know my husband loved being pointed out. With Captain Jack making his way onto the stage, Andy-Roo was obviously really loving the show this day and stole my attention.

Mack did his usual bit of not knowing Captain Jack is behind him, while Andrew stole his attention, too! Andy-Roo couldn’t believe he didn’t realize where Jack was and jumped up to point and call “He’s behind you!” He was so excited!

"Turn around!" he called out again. Mack was fighting a smile and finally turned around to jump in surprise. Turning back to all of us, he looked at Andy-Roo..

“I didn’t hear Nemo.”

CIMG4161.jpg

Andrew made him laugh, too. :) That wild enthusiasm for the show this day would pay off for my big kid, though he claims it was the Nemo-colored shirt. For the very first time, he was called to the stage to be a part of it! :yay: He was too excited! While he’d been in the group to get diplomas a couple of times, being able to take part in the sword playing was one of his Disney dreams. How awesome that it would take place today!

CIMG4164.jpg

Captain Jack carried on with the show, calling each child over to battle Mack. I noticed that part of the show had changed, with the kids no longer pointing out the governor’s daughter. I have no idea what they said instead, but guessed it was related to the new movie. Yep, I still haven’t seen a single POTC movie!

I watched my waiting Andrew and enjoyed the other children as they took their turns before him. It seemed odd to me that Andy-Roo was skipped over each time, when he had been first called to participate. He was bursting with excitement and I worried he wouldn’t last! Finally, Captain Jack walked over to him and asked his name. This is where not paying attention made the show for me. I had no idea what was coming! At this one, being last is a good thing. :thumbsup2 As soon as Andrew said his name, Jack shouted..

“Because I want to know who I’ll be fighting!”

I was so excited!! Andy-Roo wouldn’t be fighting Mack, but Captain Jack instead! I knew he must be going crazy inside. He hurried across the stage to take his place by Mack.

CIMG41701.jpg

It was more than obvious that Andrew was loving every minute of this. How could he not? He had fun battling the pirate. When time came to distract and flee, things didn’t work quite as well. Andrew just couldn’t get the words out! I have a feeling the show change had confused him, too. Mack said it twice, but all they got out of Andrew was one long and loud, “LOOOOOOOOOK!!”

31453740001.jpg

31453740002.jpg

He turned and ran. Mack looked ready to lose it over this. We were all laughing! Andrew was pretty entertaining this day. :rotfl:

Their turns completed, all the new pirates marched across the stage to pose for a group picture..

CIMG4173.jpg

CIMG4175.jpg

Andrew’s quick pose to the photopass photographer.. No, he’s not a ham at all. Thank goodness everyone watching seemed to really enjoy him, too!

Captain Jack then started calling the rest of the children to the stage. Little Blakers was happy to be a part, even if it wasn’t as big as brother’s. He had obviously wanted to go up when Andrew was called, and expressed his disappointment at the time. “Little guys can be pirates, too.” he had said with a slight pout. My sweet little man, your turn will come in time. It’s heartbreaking to see my baby disappointed. He did love that brother got to fight Jack anyway!

CIMG4180.jpg

CIMG4182.jpg

The End!

I so wish one of us had been recording this. It was the best show we’d ever seen and not only because Andrew was a part of it. Both pirates seemed so into it, and Mack was crazy entertaining. Loved it!

Hey.. I remember now. It was Blackbeard’s daughter! ;)

12 days??

We are staying at Pop again. I can't get DS to go anywhere else. Plus I got a great discount with the AP. It was a room only discount and we are staying preferred pool view. I love the Hippy Dippy Pool view.

I was just thinking about doing a TR tonight. We are going to US/IOA for two days in there also. I get to see the Goo Goo Dolls on March 3rd!!!! I hope you convince him soon!

What a great experience at the Pirate Tutorial! Andrew looks absolutely thrilled in those pictures!!!!

Blake is just too darn cute...he handles being the little brother so well!

As far as the POTC movies go, I love the first one, the second one is okay, hate the third one, and kind of like the fourth one! So basically...I can only recomment the first one!

I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT YOUR NEW APs!!!

I may have had just a little lump in my throat when I read about your Valentine's gift, I actually had to read the post at least three times until I believed it. You have the most wonderful husband.

So excited to read about another Disney year. Thanks for sharing your family with us.

That must have been such an exciting experience for Andrew! You could see in his fact that he was just so happy to be up there to experience it. And then to fight Captain Jack at the end!? I mean, seriously priceless.

Amazing surprise! (the APs and fighting Jack Sparrow) I hope more TR are to follow. :wizard:

I had totally forgotten about that ride! He could use that big kid moment. Blake doesn't really complain about his height, but you can see it in his face at times. He's super excited about growing at home, so that'll make his day and start the AP year off great. Thanks for mentioning it!

That is one of my favorites from this day. They were being so good about sticking together. It was adorable. :)

I think you should definitely do a TR! It's sounding like a pretty awesome trip and I'd love to read about it. And the Goo Goo Dolls too? Okay, I'm super jealous. I used to love those guys.

There's nothing wrong with Pop! You know we love it there, minus DDP anyway! :rotfl: Ap discounts definitely help. I just booked the boys' birthday trip with one myself. ;) So exciting!!

Oh, btw, I actually asked dh if he wanted to go to MK for dinner that evening. He says, "Let's go!" and grabbed his shoes! And he was serious! If I didn't need to get Blake a new stroller, we probably would've gone, too. :sad1:

Which one is the first one? The Black Pearl movie? Everyone says the exact same thing. I'm going to really try to see it soon!

Andrew LOVED that pirate tutorial! It was awesome!! :woohoo:

:yay::yay: Us too!! He's an awesome guy. Even better, he said he's justified going earlier in his mind because we're just going to continue to renew them this time and stop playing games about it. This way it won't matter about my birthday-to-birthday idea anyway. We'll see how this really plays out though!

Can't you? He was all smiles and excitement during this. I loved the photopass pics and had to buy a few. :thumbsup2 Definitely one for his list of most favorite WDW moments!

Amazing surprise! (the APs and fighting Jack Sparrow) I hope more TR are to follow. :wizard:

I can't wait to see what this next year will bring! :woohoo:

It was nearing noon when the showed ended, so we turned back the way we’d come. Lunch was called, so CHH was taking BTMMR’s place for now. (No need to worry about missing FP times back then! :rolleyes1) Along the way, I saw guests taking spots for the parade. It was tempting. We even stopped and found a place. This was our last day so we should take in the parade one last time, right?

After a few minutes in the hot sun with grumbling tummies, the plan started to fall apart. The boys were first to give up on the idea, leaving me holding out. I knew we’d be back. When wasn’t known, but this wasn’t the end of the world. Even so, I wanted to fit everything in! I eventually decided they were right, knowing it would be quite some time before the parade made it here anyway. Oh well. There’s always next time!

We had a nice lunch at CHH, but our favorite CM wasn’t working this time. Sadness. I wonder if she’s still there..? Our second PPF FP time had come and gone, of course, so we jumped into that line for another flight into Neverland.

Back on the ground, it was the perfect time to grab yet another round of FPs. This time, they would be for that needed Pooh ride. I went to the machine while John and Blake disappeared into the store by Mickey’s Philharmagic. Andrew was just beside me, searching through my bag for something. I wasn’t sure what he needed, but wasn’t worried about what he’d get into either. I assumed he might be looking for camera, and turned out to be right.

As I collected the last FP, I turned to see my little Andrew posing for a picture! I instantly worried, but then noticed that little camera was sitting a bit in front of him. He was taking self photos with his camera’s timer! What a silly boy! I offered to take the picture for him.

72811Andrew024.jpg

He insisted I take more pictures with his camera from then on. With Blake joining us again, we walked over to ride the carousel. They both made some fun photo requests on this one.

Andrew’s request..
72811Andrew028.jpg

It was very important that I take, and share, that picture. Hope you enjoyed it! :thumbsup2

Blake’s request..
72811Andrew034.jpg

He likes the dress. ;)

The ride itself was lots of fun. Blaker must’ve been nearing naptime because he got so silly! When the little guy is tired, he finds everything hilarious. It doesn’t always hold true, but I was glad he found this mood instead of fussing. Andrew and I had fun making him laugh during the ride.

72811Andrew035.jpg

72811Andrew036.jpg

72811Andrew044.jpg

It was great! What wasn’t great, was the exit to this ride..

The boys stuck by my side as we neared the gate. They've been taught not to go ahead of me because that thing is heavy! It was good thing. The woman who walked through ahead of us didn’t hold it. It slammed back at us when I reached forward to take it from her and crashed into my knee. Ouch! I couldn’t believe it until she turned around at the sound I made. It was the first line cutter from this morning!! :sad2: What an icky group of people they must really be. Thank goodness it was me and not a child. Sadly, we’re going to deal with this very same group one more time today, too!

Checking out my knee, I felt dumb and dreaded the bruise I knew would be coming. I’m one of the lucky ones that can look like I’ve been to battle after barely bumping into something. Something hitting that hard was going to be tough to look at later on. Yuck.. I needed some cheering up.. To Tomorrowland!

Unfortunately, our race cars were at thirty minutes. In the heat of the day, paired with a near naptime Blakers, this just wouldn’t end well. We took a ride on the Peoplemover instead. It didn’t have a wait at all. ;)

72811Andrew048.jpg

“I’m not tired even one teeny bit!” he claimed. We didn't buy it!

72811Andrew052.jpg

By the time we’d had our Peoplemover fun and taken in the Carousel of Progress, we were able to collect more FPs. Andrew really wanted to battle Zurg, and you know I wouldn’t object to that. We collected a set and moved out of Tomorrowland.

“Aren’t we forgetting something?” I asked Andy-Roo when he declared it BTMRR time.

“Not yet, Mom..”

While I may not have a picture to prove it, my big kid was most definitely 44 inches now! He’d hit that mark and more in the last month, but was suddenly Space Mountain shy. I encouraged him, but wasn’t going to push him into anything. We discussed it on our way across the park again.

72811Andrew0622.jpg

By the time we made it to BTMRR, Blake was out. So much for not being even one teeny bit tired! A quick kiss before parting, John was off to find some AC until our rides were over. With the little guy needing a ticket now, twice the FPs meant this would take a bit. :woohoo: We were so excited to skip the standby mess for a double turn!

72811Andrew065.jpg

Of all the rides we’ve done with FP, BTMRR is my favorite. I love being able to race right through and be on a train in no time, but I didn’t love how the ride made me feel this day! I felt ill by the end of it and Andrew was with me. We’d expected two fun rides, but both decided one was more than enough. I don’t think we were going very well at staying hydrated this afternoon. :sad2: I tucked the remaining FPs away, just in case we changed our mind later.

In the briar patch shop, Blake was still out and John looked kinda beat. Yep, we were definitely not drinking enough this day! That combined with the growing crowds resulted in a family mini-meeting. None of us were really ready to let the year go, but there were some good arguments to support getting out of here sooner than later. We were all tired. It was very hot and humid. The crowds were building. We’d pretty much done everything we came here to do. Most of all, we did NOT want the year to end in the crowded mess that it started with either. A late evening had never been part of our plans.

It was a tough conversation, but we did the smart thing. We stayed. ;)

That Pirate Tutorial sounds awesome! Fighting Jack Sparrow must have been fun for Andrew.

I'm glad you all made the right decision to stay. I always hate it when I sort of feel like maybe we should just leave, but I really don't want to. I hope the last night is wonderful!

What an awesome Valentine's gift you got! So cool!

Can't believe it's the last day of your year. Sounds like a pretty good day, though (minus the line-cutters!) What a great Pirate Tutorial!

Hope the evening is magical! pixiedust:

I love the boys' picture requests on the carousel...its fun to see what catches their attention! The details Blake noticed are really pretty!

I'm glad you decided to stay...I'm not ready for this trip report to end!! Are you going to continue on with your December (?) trip?!!?

He loved getting to do that. It was such a perfect memory for our last day. :)

Isn't that the worst feeling? You know deep down that going is probably best, but it's impossible to let it go. We won't stay too much longer, but ending with BTMRR just didn't feel like the way to go.

Best gift ever! Maybe we'll learn this time and really keep them going. :goodvibes

Even with line cutters, it was a great last day. :thumbsup2

Their requests were pretty cute. I loved that Blake liked Cinderella's dress. It gave me hope that we might watch that movie. Cinderella's another that Andrew tossed on the "girl stuff" list and we hadn't watched in ages. It's one of my most favorites!

I'm sad about the TR ending, too. It should be done in the next couple of days, I think. I'm almost there, but thinking about the last few minutes makes me teary. :sad1: I'll probably add December as a "bonus" to the end to cheer up.

Our Buzz FP time was up and we absolutely couldn’t walk out without a final battle again the evil emperor. How silly to think our Disney year could end with BTMRR anyway! Across the park we went again..

CIMG4187.jpg

No idea when I took this picture, so it'll go right here!

Blake was still napping peacefully in the stroller so John took him in search of water refills. Knowing what our problem really was, we needed to work on it right away.

Andrew and I joined the FP line. It wasn’t as wonderful as our BTMRR experience. The line was backed up and inched along. It took a while, but we were eventually on our way.

CIMG4188.jpg

CIMG4189.jpg

Not our best scores!

CIMG4192.jpg

CIMG4194.jpg

CIMG4195.jpg

CIMG4196.jpg

John was waiting outside the exit with our drinks. Blake was still snoozing, so we let him sleep. He'd appreciate more rest. After a water a break, it was back to battle!

CIMG4198.jpg

CIMG4200.jpg

CIMG4201.jpg

Hmmm.. I did better. Andrew did worse!

After our second ride, we decided it was time to wake the Blake!

CIMG4202.jpg

Unlike the giggling, happy child he becomes when he’s getting sleepy, Blake can be a monster when he first wakes up. It’s not really a good idea to end a nap before he’s ready, but we couldn’t end the year with a sleeping family member.

In our mini-meeting in the briar patch, a plan was made. This plan made sense and would make the perfect ending to our year. Andrew had wished to end the year in the shirt he started it in. We’d do the same thing with our final ride choice. We started our adventures with Pooh, so we’d end with the silly bear, too!

Blake handled the wake up much better than expected, but did need a few minutes before he’d be ready for our special ending. We found a spot to park the stroller and turned the boys loose with their cameras for a while.

CIMG4203.jpg

This would be how Blake “zooms” his camera. He’s too funny.

CIMG4205.jpg

Our Final Destination.. just waiting for us!

CIMG4206.jpg

When Blake was ready for it, we walked across to our favorite family ride.

Quite a change from the last year, isn’t it? I thought about the last AP year as we walked, and just how hard the journey to Pooh’s ride had been that night. While it hadn’t been our final ride (I’m still amazed with how we managed the fireworks on Dumbo to end that one!), the walk from Snow White to Pooh had been heartbreaking. Andrew and Blake had raced ahead, full of excitement, and I didn’t want any of it to be over. I dreaded the ending and fought tears with each step that night. This new ending would be bringing so much change to our little family. I felt a little lost. Where were those tears? Where was that anxious feeling in my stomach. I should be feeling something, shouldn't I? This didn’t feel like an ending at all.

CIMG4208.jpg

With cameras still in hand, Andrew and Blake went wild with pictures of Pooh’s tree. I interrupted for one last pose by his mailbox.

CIMG4209.jpg

Then it was FP line time!

CIMG4214.jpg

Our time in the FP line would be our longest wait of the day. It was backed up to its entrance and moved very slowly. For a while, it didn’t seem that anyone was being allowed to join the line to board at all. I didn’t wish this ending to come any sooner so none of us would mind. The boys continued with their picture projects and had fun playing together.

CIMG4215.jpg

CIMG4216.jpg

I’d share some of their pictures, but you can see how they turned out. They’re all kinda silly!

CIMG4217.jpg

As we inched along in the line, the group behind us started to get a little wild and loud. I didn’t pay much attention to them at first, assuming they were just excited kids ready for the wait to be done. It’s Disney World after all. That happens. I continued to forgive the craziness until something hit the back of my leg. Something icky.. I looked down at the ground beside me and saw... a peach pit???

I quickly looked up at the group. As you might have expected, it was the line cutters from this morning. One of them held the rest of that peach in his hand. The woman who had let the gate fall apologized, showing me her English was much better than she’d pretended before. How gross was this?? She cleaned up the mess and moved the boy to the back of their group. I suppose I should’ve been impressed that she did that much after what we’d seen from them already! I was happy that our line would begin to move much faster soon!

72811Andrew071.jpg

My sweet boys.. They had no clue any of this had happened. :)

CIMG4218.jpg

Tut. Tut. Looks like rain!

72811Andrew084.jpg

We moved along and were finally in our honeypot. As soon as gopher wished a “Happy Windsday!” the peach mess was forgotten. Andrew called for us to duck again, of course. This time, our Pooh friends even called “Hooray!” with us. Much better!

72811Andrew095.jpg

Hooray!!

That’s it? That couldn’t be it. How could this be the end?

Nice choice of ride to end the day. And I'm glad the "Hooray" was working again! I can't believe those line-cutters, though...it's like they were stalking you all day!

So, is this the end?....... :confused3 I guess we'll see. I do hope you tack on the December trip. There are a lot of us that will go through some crazy TR withdrawal if you don't. :goodvibes
