LOL - that certainly is a scary Shrek & Mickey!! :rotfl2:

The WOD store sounds so cool, that's crazy about the pricing, though! Woohoo on 3 weeks to go!! :thumbsup2

I love how your extended families all live together!
I don't know anyone on the left coast who has that kind of continuity of staying put in the neighborhood they grew up in. You are lucky.
Almost time for the big trip!
Are you going to report from there? Hope so.
Have fun.

Hi Melissa! It's so great to see that you are writing your pre-Trip Report!!!! I've followed your TR's since your first trip with your family back in 2005 when you posted on passporter. You were sooooo excited back then making all your plans and then making changes to some of your plans.:cool1: I told you then how much I loved the fact that you took lots of pics on the car ride down. :car: It made the reader feel like they were traveling with you. You also cracked me up reading about all the disgusting hotels that you stayed in on your trip down I-95.:rotfl: I missed you on those boards and am so glad to find you here on the Disboards again. :cool1::) Looking forward to once more reading about your families adventures together in Orlando. Have a magical trip.:tinker:

What an exciting story Melissa!!! I love that you were able to meet Patrick (Putty)! Don't you just love him in the preshow to Soarin! Looking forward to reading about your trip to Disney. Have a safe ride down and a magical time.:cool1:

WOW! What an amazing prize - sounds (and looks - thanks for sharing pictures!) like you had a wonderful time. Your life in NY sounds just like they depict it on TV and in the movies, you're always off doing fabulous things!

Have a safe trip to Disney - can't wait to hear all about it! :thumbsup2

Wow Melissa! What a wonderful experience!!!!!!

Hope you are gathering your stuff and packing again for your 3 week extravaganza in Orlando!! Have a safe trip and be sure to check in *live*:thumbsup2

Hey everyone! We're home from our AMAZING 18-day trip to Orlando. There was one BIG bump in the road, but we handled it and didn't let it ruin our vacation. The first week and a half was HOT due to the heat wave in the southeastern US, but for the past week and a half the weather was around 75 - 80 degrees and PERFECT. It also never rained. It rained maybe four times the entire time we were in Orlando, and every time it was either when we were driving somewhere or when we were in an indoor attraction. The crowds were pretty low the entire time, and we walked right onto a LOT of the attractions. We also only had a half-hour wait for Everest, and there were fastpasses available until 5:00. It was great!

I took TONS of pictures and video, all of which I can't wait to share with all of you. I'll have the first trip report installment up either tonight or tomorrow, so check for it. Thanks again for reading, and for all of the tips and advice you gave. Even though we were in Orlando longer for the past two years (a month in 2005 and a little over three weeks last year), this was the best vacation yet (and ever!)

Updates coming soon!

I got to the intros right now and had to stop because I have a black and white ****zu named oreo!!!! Although, my Oreo represents the mets...but still, weird coincidence!

I have an Oreo too!! Except mine is a black and white kitty! Your Oreo is beautiful though!

And I can't wait to hear all about your trip!!
