Delete Post--a new feature?????

I just went to edit a post and noticed there was an option at the top to delete the post. I never noticed this before, is it new?

Nope, been around for a long time.... hasn't worked in a while (at least the last time I tried it didn't). Used to enjoy it when it did

Try it, I doubt it works, it is disabled.

I always assumed you could always delete your own post and if you started a thread, you could delete it if there were no replies?

Shows how much I know, right?

EDA: I tried it and it didn't work. It said I didn't have access to that page. You're right Dan. Hmm. I just never noticed that before.

I tried deleting a post the other day and got a message that I wasn't authorized to do so. Too bad because this would have been nice to have available.

I wonder why they disabled it? It was really nice to use it when you accidentally double...or in some cases..triple post!

If you double post, just use the "report to a moderator" link and ask to have a moderator delete it.

I think there may have been problems in the past with people posting to stir the pot, and then deleting their messages.

Thanks Kathy, I actually never thought about doing that. In the past, I just deleted the remarks, but of course it still left the post.


I do recall that being a problem now that you mention it.
