DeLeskey's Do Disney With Friend(Day #1)

Players:Myself...39, soon to be 40 on this trip.
and my Daughter Jessica...age 17 going on 30 something!

we do not sleep all night....well...me anyway, and our Limo came on Wed the 9th at 5:30 am for a 730 flight..believe me....this was not to early...byt the time we get there.....we are rushing to the gate(must be all that Boston Traffic)
so there we sit..... I checked in.....me first class...Jess..Coach(tee hee).hay that is what she wanted...oh well! so I look down....blood everywhere!!!!! the new carry on I bought had some metal piece sticking out...and sliced my finger open....getting all over my airline tix!!!! not to mention dripping down my leg.......
ok...we board plane.......I am seat 1B! and no one next to me!!!! for this trip...I bought with me for some reason dramine...I do not get sick...but some guy in FC was walking back and forth to the bathroom ...kept talking to the flight attendnets etc...he made a mess out of the bathroom....so I told the FA that I had the dramiane...and he wanted one...so he took that....he sat for about a min or two...started walking around again....made the flight very un enjoyable!!!! needless to say....turns out he was having a panic attack...I told her...gee.I had 300 xanax with me... we should have just knocked him out!!! anyhoo.......

got to Oralndo at 10:30am...Tiffanys picked us up...and off to the Boardwalk Inn!! well our room..not ready yet...she said we had an excellent room...they did offer another on the 3rd...but we chose to wait...so they gave us our concierge keys...and we went up and had a few snacks...and made Fantamic package dinner ressies...then we had 3pm lunch ressies at the Hollywood and Vine so...off to the MGM we went...BUT no boat for us...we used the MGM walkway....and I am soooo glad we did, because our whole trip...that is what we did!!! you have to walk along there at least once!! It is just so relaxing!!1 and pretty......asn faaster I might add then the boats!! we beat them everutime! amnd it is great when the park closes........no traffic!
we had gotten to our ressies early and we were sitted right away! so we ate...shopped then headed back t see if room was ready!! well it was...and it was huge...it is the one that is in my link(first one) under my sig....the room was 2 queen beds then the extra room that had a huge sleepsofa and 2 tv's and a vcr....the porch wqas tiny...it was the room on the 4th floor right over the Bakery!! what a view from the boardwalk!! and there is still constructon going on....they were in the steeplechase suite....whcih was next door...but they were outside....checking out my daughter is what they were all doing!!

so it was a quite evening we strolled along the Boardwalk.... then they had our frig deleivered....
oh...room numgber was 4227......deluxe concierge....it was a very nice room.

later that evening my daughter was hungry...we did not want to leave..so we ordered her a pizza....22. dollars total...I told her to just go down stairs and get it....but you know 17 yo...sometimes they are just lazey!

so it was a nice unstressful day.....the concierge staff was VERY very nice....and willing to do anything for us!

I have a "lose" schudule of there concierge food
6am coffee
7-10:30am-3 differnet dansish,Muffins,Bagels. bread for toast, fresh fruit, cold ceral

11:30-3pm-m&m's, pretezels,goldfish.p[opcorn, salsa &chios

3-4:30-fingersandwhichs(cream cheese on bread with either ham turkey or cheese), chips,popcorn,preztels,cookies,rice krispiessquares,

5-7pm-Cheese & crackers, veggie platter(aparagus,carrots, celery, yellow tomatoes)peanut butter and jelly tiny sandwhichs, fruit platter(melon, cantouple, pineapple,strawberry)

8-10pm-cookies,chocolate dipped strawberrys
and at all times you could get what ever you wanted to dringk..tonic..spring waaater, there was hot water for tea...there was no coco....but ther ewas coffee at all times!!
so this was day one....I spent that evening writing post cards......

Mika! Couldn't you make it to WDW without drawing blood??? Hope that finger healed up for you.

Otherwise, sounds like a perfect first day.

i really loved using the walkway; it's one way to work off some of those "souvenir" pounds i always tend to bring home from wdw. i think it's a little too brightly lit though. great trip report.
