I'm not sure if there was a thread on this but here goes anyway. On the WBTA this September they changed the final payment date to July 20th which is great on DCL's part however the booking window for excursions still open on May 21 . So essentially you have to be paid in full by May to be able to book anything anyways so what's the point of a July paid in full.

While you pay in full to book things, you can still cancel without penalty until the official pay in full date--thats the benefit.

I've got the same complaint about booking windows for silver/gold/platinum CC members. The booking window opens before the PiF date for them,

It’s been that way since forever as if I remember right actual PIF was always right near Silver’s booking so you always had to pay early for Gold/Plat. Now it’s just after New Cruisers.

You can either prioritize bookings and pay in full early or prioritize flexibility and pay later.

We don’t typically book tastings/Palo/excursions so there is little incentive to pay early(we also typically do last minute bookings so it’s never been a priority since it’s always just ‘check onboard’)

So I cruise next January ( 21-28
ill be platinum
i will be able to book in sept 120 days out of I pay in full in sept
so if I get it right 120 pit of sailing date if paid in full for platinum ?

I think the 60-days prior is only for cruises in 2022 so the "regular" PIF rules are in place for January 2023. If you are CC Platinum and wish to reserve excursions, adult dining, etc. you will need to be paid-in-full at 120 days. For a 1/21/23 departure date, I believe that is 9/23/22 but confirm that on your reservation or DCL account to be sure I did my math correctly.
