del sol?

Have any of you guys stayed at the del sol hotel/motel? If so would it be a place you'd suggest? We are not too pickey about where we stay as long as it's clean and the people are nice (preferably noooo cockroaches Yuck lol). Also, are the bunk beds standard size or are they a bit short. We stayed in the kids suite at the desert palms and the bunk beds were long enough for our 20 year old friend and was hoping these would be able to function for our oddball group of friends

We stayed at the Del Sol in May and will be staying there again in two weeks. It was fine and clean. I believe the bunks were standard length, but my girls are still little (my 5 yr old can still fit in a crib), so if they were a bit short, I may not have noticed...

We stayed there before, and while it is by no means fancy, it's a good place for theme park commandos like us. If you want to spend a lot of time in your room, I wouldn't recommend it, but if you are just looking for a clean place to sleep and keep your luggage, you will be fine.

I haven't stayed at the kids suite, but I'm assuming it would be fine for your friend. Especially if you guys are young You can't find a better deal that close to the park!

And just FYI, I didn't see any cockroaches while we were there!

That's one hotel we decided we would never stay in again. I think it was decent as far as cleanliness goes, but we both suffered through freezing cold showers in the morning. Fine, things happen, so we let the front desk know. They refused to do anything to "make it right" in any way. I'm not talking about refunding the whole night or anything crazy, I think we may have either suggested a small credit or a discount on a future night's stay. They were adamant that there was nothing they could do, and they didn't even apologize for our experience. Just all around horrible customer service. For a similar price, we prefer staying at the other hotels nearby. They seem cleaner, more comfy, and way more friendly.

I think we will try it anyways and see how it goes. It'll pretty Much only.be a place to sleep for the entire trip so we can handle the bad things of it too. And if things don't work out we can all take turns sleeping on the floor :b
