We just got back from an amazing week-long trip to the Disneyland Resort. We were able to do just about everything there was to do.

However, we got so excited by our peeks over the walls and at the Carthay Theater and fountain, we have already booked a weekend trip the first week of July for the specific purpose of checking out the new experiences.

There is so much coming to the Disneyland Resort in the next few weeks, that I thought it would be helpful to compile a checklist so that we are sure not to miss a single thing. I am hoping this list will be helpful for others here too.

I'll post the things I know about below. Feel free to reply with anything I've missed and I will update the list accordingly.

Lists look great. Makes me want to plan a quick 3 nighter in July since we won't be back until Oct.

Refurbed La Brea and Refurbed Lego Store might also be considered :)

Edit: As well as Gibson Girl, Penny Arcade, Candy Store refurb.

Great list!

I understand in addition to the Carthay Circle Restaurant there's also a Carthay Circle Lounge although it's possible they may be considered the same restaurant. Nevertheless, from what I've read it looks like they will have different menus.

Thanks!:thumbsup2

This is valuable info for planning my 5 and 1/2 day August trip. So much to do yet so little time!!

Wow, awesome list! I knew there were a lot of changes coming with the June 15th grand re-opening but that is a lot! Thanks again!

Thanks for the suggestions!

The Carthay lounge is listed there as Club 1901. Is that the correct name? Sadly, I'll probably never see it anyway. ;)

No, Club 1901 is a private lounge only open to Club 33 members. The Carthay Circle Lounge is open to the public and it's mentioned here:

http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/...ate-food-pictures-and-reservations-available/

What I love is that there will be, essentially, two public dining options at Carthay Circle: a Carthay Circle Lounge downstairs, serving quick meals, shared plates, wine, craft beer, or handcrafted seltzer sodas with muddled fruit; and the larger restaurant upstairs, which will be taking reservations.

This way, if you just need a bite to eat but would like to relax in a more upscale environment (or if junior has finally decided to nap and you need to be somewhere somewhat quiet and air conditioned for a while), you can simply walk into the Carthay Circle Lounge for tapas and a great drink.

The Lounge menu is divided into Bites, Rolls, Snacks, Small Plates, and Finger Desserts, served in a place to “relax, share and have fun,” Chef Sutton says. Tastes range from hot shrimp with a chilled spicy tomato shooter to duck confit sliders with apricot conserve, watercress, crisp onions, and Taleggio cheese.

Wow great list OP!!! :)

And believe it or not there STILL might be more shows coming if you can believe that! And I didnt even realize Voices of Liberty wasnt coming until June 15th. Something else for me to check out that weekend!

But two shows you should add! One, a little surprised you forgot or no one else mentioned it since its only been out 2 weeks, but the Brave Meet and Greet by IASW! Its amazing how much more elaborate they are becoming as well! Two, The Magic, Memories and You show also at IASW just added new scenes for the summer! That officially opened on Memorial day weekend!

So much to see and do this summer! Its quite amazing especially when LAST summer offered so much to do with 2 major rides, a new parade and a set of new restaurants and bars. That looks like childs play now considering how much there is this summer!

Here are two more to add for the list. One in DL and one in DCA!

DL Disney Gallery will have a new exhibit focusing on Disney Castles in both movies and the parks which opens June 30th:

And this was just reported today, DCA will have a 'history' museum for Radiator Springs sponsored by the Radiator Springs Historical society in the Blue Sky Cellar starting June 8th:

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...ys-museum-of-the-history-of-radiator-springs/

So yes, it just keeps on coming for the summer!

Now that Billy Hill and the Hillbillies is a part of the Big Thunder Jamboree, are they not going to show up in the entertainment schedule? I checked for mid-July and they're not on there that I saw.

No they just havent filled in the calendar for that month yet thats all. They are listed on the calendar for the Jamboree in June so I wouldnt worry! Pretty sure they will be there.

So excited for our trip in 17 more sleeps! Thanks for sharing :goodvibes
