Ouch - comparing that to AC? I am definitely an Adventurer's Club fan, and she makes me want to pull (what's left of ) my hair out!! Uggh - and yet, I continue to watch? Why is that????

Can't imagine anyone could be lured into DVC after watching that scary Halloween video. Glad I bought BWV a long time ago she'd scare me off. It's tacky, over the top hard sell. Desperate times for DVC
I think that she is a cute character, although maybe not the best way to sell DVC. However, the quality of the video was horrible. Maybe they were going for the Youtube level of video.
Disney Vacation Club is taking a stab at viral marketing to help promote its ninth time share, the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
As part of the rollout yesterday for the 15-story resort, Disney emailed Vacation Club members with a link directing them to the video-sharing website Youtube. That link opened a video featuring a woman named "Deevy See" (DVC...get it?) who then revealed plans for Bay Lake Tower in a five-minute skit.
Though the Walt Disney Co. has ventured into such marketing before, it's a first for Disney Vacation Club.
I guess I've become the "Deevy See Defender" these past couple of days.
I've been at two DVC events where she was featured and she made it so much fun. I was sooo excited to see that she was chosen for this clip. She's just silly and makes me laugh. It certainly is a lot better than listening to the Disney "suits". ZZZZZZZZZZZ........
I didn't get a chance to see the video until last night, and I thought it was very funny! Yes, the character is WAY over the top, but still like her because of my previous comment about getting prizes from her at DVC events here in Chicago. She thought she knew me from Welcome Home Wednesdays, but I haven't gone to that before. I'm actually going to try to go to one on my arrival day if I can.
At least she's better than poor Robby, whose "Matt Foley" (you know, Chris Farley's "living in a VAN down by the RIVER" inspired character was truly painful to watch. He's much better suited to his roles on Pleasure Island.
