Deevy See.. What do you think of her?

  • Hate the site of her, DVC, please get rid of this ridiculous person!

  • I don't like her, but I can live with the foolishness. Grin and bear it.

  • Love her, she makes me smile, and want to buy more points.

  • Who's Deevy See??

I enjoy this actress in other park roles...

I don't enjoy the character of Deevy See as an ambassador of the product. I'm with ALK-fan in that I'd like a magazine with facts about my product not a fake interview. That Disney files issue went into the trash shortly after it arrived at my house. I wont even put it in the magazine rack for guests to read...

If they designed a new logo, they can certainly come up with a better sales campaign.

For example:
Would love to see this same actress as a person, by her real name, explaining her love of Disney parks. She could show us what she does at Disney and how we can be part of the Disney magic by owning DVC.... Sell me on Disney and the lodging - you don't need to tell it to me in a false voice.

No use for her or the impression she leaves abour the product or the members. They set the bar low and managed to fall short of that.

I have to say our family is not a big fan of this character.

However, much of what we like about Disney is tied to the fact that you can go there in 2011 and still enjoy being entertained by corny, cheesy fun....in fact you look for it. It isn't sophisticated but you smile all the same. Some of it (like the electric water parade) is very "old school" but you still rush to the beach to watch it. With all the technology impressing us everyday, it's nice to see your teenagers still have time for the basic stuff. Not everyone understands it but it isn't necessary that they do. Disney does both the tech stuff and the simple stuff.

I don't see her as a representative of DVC members. The character is not a good marketing tool. But there are members who enjoy it and that's the way I look at it. I find Welcome HOme Wednesdays not worth the effort. My husband managed to get on as a contestant in the game show (it was the daughter character that time). He thoroughly enjoyed it, played up the whole time, answered not one question, and surprise, surprise the game was tied at the end. He never enjoyed the event previously so he decided to try to participate and enjoy it that way.

We ride "It's a Small World" every trip. It's corny, cheesy and also can be annoying....but we leave smiling and happy that our teenagers are still smiling with us. That won't always continue, but parts of Disney give us that feeling.

That's how I look at Deevy. Not my cup of tea but others seem to enjoy it. Eventually they will move on to something else. My impression of DVC doesn't change because of her.
