Deevy See

Deevy See.. What do you think of her?

  • Hate the site of her, DVC, please get rid of this ridiculous person!

  • I don't like her, but I can live with the foolishness. Grin and bear it.

  • Love her, she makes me smile, and want to buy more points.

  • Who's Deevy See??

I thought this Deevy See fictional obnoxious character was slowly fading away. But then... The summer issue of Disney Files comes out and FOUR pages with this terrible idea of a whoever?? I think this is Disney imagineering at it worst.

I thought, is it just me?? It would be interesting what others think about her. So here is a poll. How much do you hate/like the site of this fictional character?

I despise her. She is horrific. Please get rid of her. She is embarrassing.

It makes me not want to show my friends any DVC marketing materials that feature her. Which, I'm sure, was not the desired effect.

Lame, obvious, cheap, and tacky. With all the well-known, beloved characters Disney has available to work with, this is the face of DVC?

She's so idiotic I think she puts DVC in a bad light. Certainly they can come up with a better promotional than that!!! Come on, It's Disney...Use some Imagination....Talk to Figment!

I tossed my DVC File before I read her blurb. Is she a real person, or fictional?

She looks like an SNL character by Mike Myers.

She is Jim Lewis' idea of the typical DVC member. Shows you what he thinks of us. Maybe I'll have a call from Ryan March when I get home regarding Disney Files.

She would be perfect if the commodity she represented was cheap, useless, tacky garbage.

DVC is far from that, and they should have someone that reflects the class, diversity, and value (not "cheapness") of the brand. Even stacey would have been a better choice.

Dump her

Exactly! I'm embarrassed when I see that stuff. No way would I ever show it to my friends!

You did not have the choice that I wanted:

__ She is a fingernail on a blackboard.

HAHA Oh my gosh! I can't believe you guys?!?!

How many of you have been to Welcome Home Wednesday?!?!?

SHE IS SOOOO FUNNY!

I got to participate in the game show last time, and I finally made her blush! HAHA

I like characters like her- do I think she represents the DVC membership - No. But does she make being a member a little more fun? YES, absolutely!

You can't take her seriously - she isn't that type of character.

She is that neighbor that we would all avoid if we lived next in the same neighborhood!

She is that girl you went to high school with that was always a little too 'weird' and said and did awkward things!

In short - she is "THAT GIRL!" of "THAT LADY!" now!

Come on members - don't take Deevy too seriously - come on folks, you can laugh!

I laugh my dairy air off! HAHAHA :lmao:

I am a fan of cheap, pun humor - so I can't help but laugh out loud at Deevy's cheesy jokes!

Deevy isn't at all a serious character - and the story is funny!

I just really don't get her or what her purpose is. I don't hate her, I just don't find her funny and I think the character is not a good match for the product. I'd probably enjoy her as a street character at DHS.

I thought it was a little funny when she first appeared but I think it's gone on long enough already. They even have a special DVC pin of her now. I totally agree with the nails on a blackboard analogy.

I know it is supposed to be a joke but there are people out there who think she really represents the average DVC member.

I also did the Welcome Home Wednesday with Deevy See several years ago (yes, she has been around that long). She took points from me and gave them to the two losers who didn't know anything about DVC so that all three of us wound up equal.

I had to vote love her because my DH just thinks she's hilarious and loves her. She makes him laugh and I LOVE his laugh. So voted love her.

AND I have to agree with the PP...lighten up folks. She's suppose to be funny, a "character", a play on the letters DVC. Yes, she is silly and a little obnoxious. But like I said, she makes my DH laugh hysterically...gotta love her.

I completely agree with this statement. We have only been members for a year, so she hasn't had a long time to grate on me. I definately do not think she is a good match for the product and wish Disney had gone with something else. She does appear to sticking around though.

At least in the magazine you did not have to listen to that awful voice.

She is a joke, the magazine is a joke and not impressed with the new icon. We need a management change.

She would be more appropriate on the Boardwalk as a sideshow, then laughing at her would be actually be funny.

Consider the product line they used for BLT, I think cheap is accurate. :sad2:

I met her once, though she was dressed as a different character on Main St. I approached her and told her I knew she was DVC. She denied and said she was nothing like DVC, that DVC was obnoxious and she knew another lady at HS who was just as obnoxious. Cracked me up because she had to be in character, was in denial, but all the while knew she wasnt fooling me. She is really a nice lady.
I like her DV character, its silly, dont take it so serious. Her humor may not be for all, but I find her amusing.

I'm with the "grin and bear it" people but I did send a letter to MS saying that I thought they could do better. I think the first option is just too strong to describe my feelings.
