So who says how early is too early to start a pre trip report? Im sure Mickey wouldnt mind and Im about to go insane waiting on this trip. My last trip was Nov 2009 and Im having major Disney World withdrawals. Im been reading trip report after trip report trying to satisfy my with drawls but its not working to well. So Im going to start my trip report to see if that will help. :goodvibes

Ok so first who are we.
DisDonald-1.jpg

Me= Beth 30 (31 on the trip)- I am the trip planner and instigator Im always trying to get or next trip started. My favorite characters are Donald Duck and Chip & Dale. Goal for the trip is to get my picture made with space Chip & Dale.

EDisney.jpg

Emily 31 (will be 32 on the trip)- My cousin/roommate/best friend. She enjoys Disney as much as I do and hates to plan, so she gladly hands me the reins to plan our trip. Her favorite characters are Tinker bell, Captain Jack, Peter Pan. Goal for the trip to make sure her mom has the best 1st trip ever.

Dee.jpg

Debbie aka Dee 50 something :rolleyes1- Emilys mom, my aunt. This is her very 1st trip to the world she has listened to us talk about our last 4 trips and really wanted to go. So we worked it out so she could go with us. Her favorite character is no other than Mr. Eeyore. Her goal for this trip is to get her picture made with Eeyore.

Now on to the when. Remember I asked how early is to start a pre-trip report. We are going Saturday Nov 26 Dec 3. We are staying at Pop as of now, unless some discounts or something come along and change our plans. My Aunt thinks we are going to stop part of the way down on our 9.5 hour drive. Well we arent. Weve got a room only at pop for that night.

So the plan is to get up early and be on the road by 4:00am Saturday Nov 26 we are leaving from York SC (about 30 miles from Charlotte NC) to start our drive. I figure we really want get started by 4:30 but thats ok. Then we will drive&If you look to your left you will see nothing but dark a little later if you look to your right you will see trees oh yes and more trees. Ok so 10.5 hours later (we had to stop to eat lunch and stuff) we arrive at Pop Century. We are wondering how long it will take my Aunt to catch on that we arent stopping in palm coast. We are even going to take the toll road to avoid downtown Orlando to try and keep her going. We arent planning on much Debbie will be resting up after the long drive. Emily & I may hit the pool some then we are going to DTD for Dinner. We are thinking Earl of Sandwiches.

Now for the next part we have put together our days based on calendars that are out now and last years Nov & Dec as well as when we think they will do the taping of the Christmas parade and MVMCP. This is what we came up with.

Sun Nov 27: Magic Kingdom We are hoping to for an early breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace tonight should also be a MVMCP we have left it up to Debbie if we go to that or not. As of right now she has decided if we are doing it. We are also going to go a different way our 1st ride is always Pirates, but this year its going to be IASW for my aunt. Thats what she associates the Magic Kingdom with. Then we will go from there.

Mon Nov 28: DHS with dinner at 50s prime time. I know this place gets a lot of mixed reviews but we love it. My favorite thing to get is the real cherry coke. :) Emily swears the fried Chicken taste just like how her Grandmother made it. So we always enjoy our time here. After dinner we will hit the Osborn lights. My favorite thing about Disney at Christmas is the lights. Ill spend a hour walking around in there.

Tues Nov 29: Epcot Dinner at Rose & Crown. My goal is to watch illuminations. Ive never got to watch it. This is my favorite park I love to shop so whats better than getting to shop around the world.

Wednesday Nov 30: Magic Kingdom again Dinner at Ohanas. This is the one thing Emily & I both agree on we cant wait to get back there to eat. She loves the noodles and I love the pot stickers. Yum thinking about them makes me want to jump in my car and drive down just to eat dinner.

Thursday Dec 1: Animal Kingdom. This is our least favorite park and we normally skip it, but with this being Debbies first trip we are going. We are going to try and get in both the Nemo & Lion King shows. We havent seen either of them and Logan (remember my Disney buddy) says we have to see Nemo.
After AK we are going to do dinner at Whispering Canyon followed by some resort hopping for Debbie to see all the wonderful Christmas decorations.

Friday Dec 2: Epcot this is our last day in the parks. Dinner at Garden Grill.

Saturday Dec 3: Time to pack up to go home. We are going to sleep in some and then hit DTD before we leave. On the way out we are going to stop at a orange grove to pick our own oranges.

So as of now on February 22nd this is our plan of attack. We get to make our ADRs May 31st and we will see if we have to do some switching around to get everything we want. The only one Im thinking will give us some problems is our breakfast the 1st morning.

Some side notes are we are working on a Disney bag for my aunt. Shell get a Disney survivor bag when we first get there from none other than Mickey and little gifts left from Tinkerbell under the tinkerbell tree we will take with us. Also shes getting little Disney surprises once a month up until the trip.

Also if you have any suggestions on how to deal with someone who snores and light sleeper please pass them along. I think there is some curse in our family that started with My grandpa and followed his children they all snore and its loud. While I am a very light sleeper so Im a lot worried about not getting sleep. Im going to take a box fan and some PM meds to help me sleep. I cant wear earplugs due to issues with my ears, but if you have any advice please pass it along.

If you have any suggestions for our trip please feel free to pass them along as well. Thanks for reading and Ill be back to update as plans are made futher.

I'm here! If our drive was just 9 1/2 to 10 hours, I'd drive straight through too. Don't blame you on that one. I mean, who could stop and spend the night somewhere else when you know it's just X number of miles to Disney?

I am liking all of your plans. You have some of the same ADRs that we do so I'll have pictures to post when we get back.

We've always wanted to go back to Disney during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays but haven't found the time to do it in over 10 years. You are one lucky girl!

If you can ever work it at Christmas you should. It's so pretty every park is dressed up for the holidays. :)

My little ole lonely pre-trip no comments. :( lol

I spoke with Laura today and she said Mark said they are going. So lets just hope it works out and they do get to come with us. :)

:faint:Well we've made some changes to our trip. Good changes but changes.

We are now planning to leave on Friday Nov 25th sometime after the black friday shopping madness. Drive to Kingsland GA (about 6 hours from here) stay the night then get on the road saturday morning for the last 4 hours of our drive. So we will have saturday evening to do what we would like go in to the park, shop at dtd or so on. We also added a day to the end of our trip we are now checking out on Sunday Dec 4th. So we are going to have a break on Wednesday. (although I'm going to slip in to DHS that night to check out the lights) we are pretty much going to have a resort day or shopping or what ever just a take it easy day. This is a new concept to Emily & myself.

Oh and we are goign to do MVMCP some time during our tirp just not sure which date yet since they have relased them yet. :)

Fantastic that you've added a day to the trip! I think you'll enjoy having a "down" day as I like to call it. It's hard knowing that the parks are out there waiting on you but it's nice to have a day of relaxation.

I would like to go at Xmas time but not until I retire. Suggest to your snorer that they try Breath Right Strips. They work for me.I like all your ADRs but we were disappointed with Whispering Canyon when we went this year. LOVED Ohana though when we went there last trip and 50"s Cafe too. keep us posted on your plans. My PTR is No Men Allowed....

Hi! Looks like you are going the week right before me! We are arriving on Dec. 4th! I love Disney at Christmas. I'm subbing, and excited to follow along as you make your plans!

:santa:

We did get some of the Breath Right Strips we are putting in her welcome to disney bag :rotfl:

We went to WC last time and enjoyed it but it was over a year ago, hope it's good as it was then.

I'm working on "Dee's unoffical guide to Disney World" it's going to be a book of all kinds of info and stuff. I'll post some pictures of it when I get it finsihed.

Bring along some alcohol wipes because the Breath Right Strips leave a sticky residue on your nose. At least they do on John. I didn't have any alcohol wipes last trip and we tried makeup remover. It worked pretty well but it didn't get it all off.

Thanks for the tip, I don't think my aunt would like to walk around with a sticky nose. :)

You're welcome. John always fusses about the sticky stuff left on his nose after using the Breathe Rights. I told him he could fuss all he wants because he snores sooooo loud.:scared1:

lol sounds like my aunt. Really it's all the Crawford's. My dad, my grandpa almost all of them. I sure hope it skips me. :)

Well instead of the Easter Bunny coming to visit my aunt the Disney Princess' did with a gift for our trip. They brought a basket of stuff for a warm day at Disney. A beach towel, sunblock, chap stick, fan, pool toy and of course a chocolate bunny.
