hey I have a question and search wasn't bringing anything up for me

When we bought our DVC we were going to finance so we put the Membership in DHs name. We have since paid it off and want to add my name to the deed so I can add on and take care of the dues and everything.

Does anyone know the cost for doing this and if it is a relatively easy process?

Thanks in advance

You will need to draw up a new deed, obtain a ROFR waiver from DVC, and file the new deed in Orange County, FL. You may want to contact a timeshare closing company in the Orlando area to handle that paperwork.

You can do it for a single contract (no add on's) for about $40 if you're willing to do the deed yourself. You contact DVC, provide the info, they'll give you ROFR documentation and you simply record the deed, ROFR and state financial form with Orange County. Or you could simply have your spouse list you as an associate member which would allow you to plan and call but you wouldn't get a membership card. You'd still be able to initiate any add ons but it'd still be in your DH name only. To do it through a closing company could cost as much as $450. Some will do the deed only for $100 or so.

You could ask your guide if they'd do this as part of an add on. I do know of them doing something similar once but I wouldn't hold your breath. Do realize that if you did an add on that was titled differently it would not be part of the same master contract and would be technically and functionally a separate contract.
