Dedicated studios rather than lock-offs?

Are any studios at OKW dedicated rather than lock-offs? And if so, does anyone have info on which buildings have the dedicated studios?

I ask because we have an infant who still cries a fair amount in the night, and I'm thinking to be fair to neighbors that a dedicated studio might hold the noise a bit more in our room than have it creep under the adjoining door.

Thanks

Laurie

Sorry, I don't have the info on OKW you need - but just wanted to say Thank You! for your considerate attitude. One reason we've begun asking for a dedicated room is to avoid the noise from neighbors - we've had really bad luck with screaming kids the past few trips. I know you can't help it - but when you're trying to relax, it's hard with all that noise creeping under the door. So thanks again for thinking of others ;-)

Sorry, the answer is no! There are no dedicated studios @ OKW.

We have a studio booked for 12/04 and I asked for a dedicated studio. The lady @ MS kind of chuckled and told me there are no dedicated studios. If I were you I would ask again when making my ressie just to be sure, but that was the info. I had received.

I think dedicated studios would be nice! Less noisey!::yes::

Dedicated studios would be nice - I certainly would have liked one on the last stay. The first half was fine, then the screaming family moved in next door. The kids screamed. The parents screamed. The kids kept trying to open the connecting door and the father would yell "That's not your room!" At least they had gone to bed long before I got home from PI at night.

These are "Home away from Home" resorts.

They built them expecting that the studios would get little use. Studios are first to go after GVs at OKW. They changed the rest of the resorts to all or many more lock offs to try and help with the studio demand problem.

I wonder if studios are proportionately higher in points at SSR. They made up for some of the weekday/weekend difference to make it more efficient, making the studios slightly more points would help that imbalance.

just a thought..... you could try sticking a rolled up towel on both sides of your connecting door. It does help. We shared a connecting room with my sil and her 3 year old and twin 6 month olds. It kept a lot of the noise out. Well that and slipping lollipops to my neice at all hours of the day and night;)

Great idea - on our Nov 03 trip we actually intentionally booked OKW as it was our first trip with DS#2 and we figured if he was really noisy we could easily take him for a walk outdoors without going down hallways etc.

Wish there were dedicated studios there

thanks
