Dedicated December Exercise Challenge

I chose this as our theme for the month because:
1. December is the hardest month for me to be motivated to exercise so it takes dedication
2. We are all dedicated to our love of Disney! :worship::worship:

So...with that in mind:

The challenge for December is ON! The goal of this thread? To make a commitment to exercise for a specific number of minutes this month (you choose the goal that works for YOU).

A goal of 30 minutes a day will be 900 minutes for the month

A goal of 1440 minutes for the month is 24 hours (a full day!) of working to improve your health

So set a goal and join in!

When you achieve:

10% of your goal, your color will change to Blue
25% will bump you up to Orange
at 50%, we'll celebrate by turning you Purple
at 75%, you will become a Great Gray Go-Getter!!
In keeping with tradition, you be Red at 90% (cuz you're on fire!)
and you'll be Wish Green upon achieving your goal.

I forgot to post mine! I was going to go for less than November but decided to keep it the same which just means I need to be more dedicated at the beginning of the month!

1575 for me :)
 

dizzyr - December can be so unpredictable but put me down for 1000 please, it will force me to focus some time on myself.

Starting my month off with a bang ... 72 minute walk/run this morning

Puts me at 72/1000

I hope everyone else is starting off the month with some exercise!
 
I just finished a 30 minute walk. It was icy which is very rare here (snowed on Friday and stayed which is even rarer!) so it was slow going.

I'll update the thread with everyone's goals later on today when I'm at work. Have a great day everyone!

I'd like in for 600 minutes. So 5 days of 30 minute walks a week. Very doable for starting out again. I didn't start a goal in November because I knew my brother was having surgery. He'll be working on walking too for his recovery from back surgery. We will start going to the park trail/path and he'll do some fishing. I'll just keep walking or relax by the little man made lake. :thumbsup2

We walked 40 minutes Saturday night. Doesn't count for this challenge goal though. :rolleyes1 It was a nice walk. We will go this evening so we can see all the new Christmas lights in the neighborhood.
 
I think I have everyone updated to this point - can you all double check and make sure I have the right goal for you :)
 
Ok. I'm in for 1000 minutes. Mainly because it will make it easy for me to calculate my percentage! Ha! Good luck to everyone.

I'm also trying to detox a bit given some serious sweets and treats indulgence over the last weekend. So I've created the 12 Days of Salads diet. Tonight's was Greek. I've also chopped up all my veggies for the week so it will be easier to stick to it. Hopefully that and healthy snacks and lunches/breakfasts will have me feeling ready for our trip in... 17 days!

You've got my goal right ...

.. but my total now needs some updating. I got in an additional 38 minutes of walking tonight, putting me at

110/1000

Am I the first one to hit 10%?
If all my days are like this, I should hit goal soon ... but I know they won't be (today was just a very active day for me).
