Decoupage Ideas

Hello --
Anyone have any decoupage ideas ?
I tried to decoupage some pics on a large sea shell and well let's just say it didn't work.

I have some fun pics I want to use and am looking for unique ideas.
Anyone ever decoupaged a photo frame ? Any pics?

I have used a wooden tray that I got at michael's as well as the brown paper boxes too. Add some stickers (no velum ones-they wrinkle up after the decapauge stuff is applied) and scrapbook paper cut outs too....adds a nice touch! Good luck!

I did the light-switch and electrical plug plates in our kitchen, they look awesome! I've made some and given them as little gifts and they were well received by the recipient.

This is a big thing, but we have decoupaged a school desk-it's all Mickey and cute cute!! DD's and I did it. It is something we will keep in our family , although friends have brought me desks to decoupage-I haven't done any more but will do a "horse" themed one for DD7. If i can post a picture I will!! I am having trouble with posting photos and cannot even get my BOO! to come out and play!! the castle is on the seat and made out of material my DD's picked out at the store.

Thank you- we had fun making it. Our next one may be a horse themes or I want to do all the different parks, using various tissue paper and the icons from each WDW park. DD seems to want the horse theme though-so that is what it probably will be!! The desk was a LOT of work and took weeks to complete-it was a bit rusty, so I had to sandpaper, then use this brown pain that prevents rust from eating through(don't remember the name), plus it covers it-then I had to prime and paint white, and wait inbetween each layer, of course-then decoupage, then decoupage more, then put a polyurethane coat on, then another!!! I must have put 5-10 layers over the seat since that is a well used area!!! And that is my favorite part of that desk and was done last-it made me wish we'd have done the whole thing in material!!! It looks painted and it is pretty and all DD9's idea-both DD's picked the material together!!

anyway- that is MY decoupage idea!!
