decorating your resort room

I know many do, but we don't. I am working until 3 pm the day before our trip. If I had a couple of weeks off before we left I might put some energy into this...but I don't, so I'm not.

Plus, as I get older I find it a lot less enjoyable to engage in obsessive behavior. It's amazing how much time and money you save when you don't have the energy to fixate!

There is a big thread on this topic with a bunch of pictures under Disney Tips...

This will be our first trip that I plan to decorate in our room and our window. We are headed there right before Christmas. We will be driving and I plan to pack a small artificial tree even and decorate that. I like the idea of coming back to our room at night and having our Christmas tree there. I am as big a Christmas freak as I am a Disney freak!!:santa:

We brought a 4 foot artificial tree on our last December trip, and it was a really nice touch. After we unpacked, we decorated the tree! Our next trip is a Halloween trip, and we may do some window clings if we come across some. I think the kids would get a kick out of it.

Mind me asking, but did you decorate anything else in your room or just the tree? Our friends that are traveling with us think I am nuts for doings this LOL. They have never been and I guess that they can't imagine that people really do this. :lmao:

We really love Christmas too...our tree at home goes up around Halloween and we would have missed having a tree on our trip! If we would have been there for Christmas week, we would have thrown in some stockings and maybe a wreath. I have seen folks with the inflatable blow-ups (a Santa Tigger I believe) on their balcony at the Boardwalk...maybe a few strings of lights here and there!

Thanks so much Perditamarie for all your help. This is our first time going in Dec. This is extra special since DH had to go back to Iraq once again. We wanted this Christmas to be one we'd always remember. :santa:

Aw shucks....December is a beautiful time to go...hope you can check out the Candlelight Processional, Osborne Lights, Santas around the world, Tree-Lighting Ceremonies and maybe even MVMCP. Also, there is a magnificent Christmas Store at Downtown Disney. If you don't have time to make it there, there is usually a Christmas gift shop tucked in every park, and all the stores have a great selection of festive and very Disney Christmas hats. Have a great trip...planning is half the fun and gotta say thanks to you and DH for your sacrifice and service!
