Decorating your resort room?

The color is a disboard thing from what I got out of it.. sort of IDs as a member and the other thing is, they are mickey heads. LGMH at HD are used in different ways from what I have read. Some cut them out, some soak them, peel them.. some feel its very wrong to take them... I have taken a few at a time (3-5) myself.. but now I have a cricut and got the closest green paper that I could and can make my own.

As far as the doors... I was told that they are all metal because of fire codes. Not sure though myself. Take some magnets just in case and if not, you should have some tape too :confused3

LGMH= lime green mickey heads

its 65 inches tall... and 2 panels (each 33.5 inches), you need to line them up. No cutting needed. It says you can stick with amscan sticky tack, tape or adhesive of choice.

the panel is transparent except for where the castle is

:thanks: for the information!
hmmm...the windows @Pop are 37 3/4" x 59"...how can I make this work???? :idea:

center as much as you can and have the edge hang off I guess. And that includes some space that is at the top and bottom too. I didnt measure it, but when you get it, you will see you have some space to work with. I thought the pic was at pop, but when I look back at it, it might be AS movies.. as the reflection of the railing of the floor above and reflecting in the glass looks like a movie strip. I have never stayed there, so I dont know.

Yes the LGMH are a Dis thing many decorate the windows with them, also hang them on strollers purses, bags so other Dissers will recognize you! I always add a few to my window in various colors !!I'm thinking of trying it out on foam .I know the 1 window is going to be POTC the other right now is Mickey ! I use lights also red or blue will work for Mickey and for POTC probably black which should be available at Halloween!!

In addition to using the LGMH from HD to decorate, we also make them into key chains to give away to any visitors to our room door. We take glitter glue and various stickers to decorate all sorts of different color samples, laminate them, and attach key chains. This is a fun way to pass the time before an upcoming trip, and it's always fun to return to the room and see which ones have been taken! We usually tuck them around our magnetized sign-in board. We'll be at POFQ on Friday for a 9 day stay, so stop by and pick one up!:)

Love,
Mimi

Thank you for answering my questions. I have a cricut so I think I will make my mickey heads since I don't get to home depot. What does everyone decorate with? I have seen that some decorate with lights,clings as have read about the sign in boards. My niece will have a b-day while we are there and I am wanting to surprise her with decorations to their room and window as well as decorate our window. Any suggetions? I have not gotten any cling but am looking for some. Since we live in a little town and the closest hobby shop is over 2 hours away I have to get stuff off the internet. It is a good thing I have 1 year until our trip.

I surprised a friend by taping this to her door. Shows what I did with the LGMH.

Thanks for the picture. Does anyone know the answer to this next question??? If I were to mail stuff for decoration to POP would they have things decorated for me for when we showed up or is that too much to ask????

I havent sent anything to the resorts (because of my location) but have had friends do it. So it is possible. I think they addressed it to themselves with the checkin date written on the box too. And then call to make sure it is there I guess. :confused3

Love this...
...any other Divaesque ideas out there?!?!

popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

I have this castle too, and I'm hoping it will work at POR. It doesn't look like its taking up the whole window in this pic, does it? Looks like there's room at the top....DD wants to be sure she will be able to see out;) Like we're going to be sitting around just looking out the window:confused3

BTW, thanks for posting this again, I knew I saw it here somewhere. I've been looking like crazy for it. What post is this from? I'd like to see more:lovestruc Thanks!!

eta:nevermind I figured out how to view the original post. She does say she cut around the edges. But, I'm wondering if this isn't the same thing I have, because she said she paid $4, I paid like $17. What a rip off, lol!

Hmmm, was it in 3 pieces, and made as a wall decoration? I have it on the playroom wall, and mine looks as if it might be thicker than the one pictured, but it's hard to tell. It does look the same though, as far as turrets, and colors, etc. Maybe I just got took:goodvibes

OK, just went and looked at the playroom wall, the bushes around the bottom are different, and it looks more opaque, but of course, its on a wall not a window, so its hard to tell, The castle itself looks the same though. I will have to look at hobby lobby and see if I can find a cheap version for our trip:goodvibes

I have gotten two of these castles. The first one I got at Hobby Lobby in the birthday party decoration section. It was around $4. I put that one up at POP, but ripped it when taking it down. Our next trip was to AS Movies and I wanted another one. Couldn't find it at Hobby Lobby this time, but did find it at Party America. I have also seen them on ebay, but obviously a little higher. It is a bit longer than the windows at the values, but I just let it hang down at the bottom a bit. Look for it again in November at AS Music!

WOW !! I looked back at all the photos that everyone attached. Great work. I have always heard of people decorating the windows but I thought that was just for the holiday's. I collected some idea's and I think I am going to do it when we go. I know DH will think I am nuts, but the kids will love it and so will I. Thanks for sharing all the great ideas. If anyone else did any I would love to see them.
