Decorating your resort room?

Here is a picture of our window from our last trip. All of the NBC charactors are paper 3-d models found on the internet. I did add purple lights after I went to walmart and got an extension cord. I forgot mine at home

Cute window!!!!

My local dollar store has some Halloween window clings. I found some Halloween Disney ones, a set of Princesses with masks, Pooh and Friends in Costume and Cars. So for $3 I got something to decorate out POP window next month. It is our first trip!

I would love to put my Princess and the Frog window stickers on my window. I'm just worried about them getting taken. I cannot replace them because I got them from my old job when I worked at a movie theater and I don't think I could ever find them again.

I am sure if you put them on the inside of the window they will be fine. :)

I would definitely put them on the inside. I just some times worry about the housekeeping. I think I will bring them! They will make it easy to spot my room!

We have decorated our windows several times and have never had any problems with someone taking anything! :thumbsup2

I am so excited for this trip I am ready to start packing tonight!

I have loads of cool vintage Halloween decorations for our room that I picked up at thrift stores, the awesome glitter sign, and those little peel and stick glitter things they have at Target, and I plan on putting something on the door for people to sign that I can later put in our scrapbook. Can't wait!

I got some really cute birthday gel clings at Wal-Mart in the celebrations dept. (where fabric used to be) They are not Disney, but they did have a set that had the word "princess" and crowns and lots of different ones for birthdays.
They were $1.50 and $3

Great idea, Tracie! I got our Halloween gel clings at Target. Very cute and I think they may have been on the dollar rack.

We stayed at Pop a couple years ago put clings to our door and with 15 minutes of putting them up someone had taken them down! We had clings on the windo inside too and all hours we heard people scratching on the window trying to take them off. So yeah people will and do take your decorations. Stayed at POFQ this summer put clings on the windo inside and had no problem at all.

This thread is fabulous!! I think it is great that it started in May of '06. Just goes to show you that the Magic that Disney inspires lives on and on!! I am hoping to take my daughter for her birthday in January.

We just got back last wednesday. The hanging lights are purple and the ones around the side and bottom are green with purple tips. :)

So Cute!!!!!! Where did you get the pumpkin Mickey heads? I love them and would love to pick some up for our trip in 3 weeks.

We decorated our door at POR a few years ago and used tape. However I think I have seen since that you are not allowed to use tape. Is this correct? We are going for Christmas this year and I would love to decorate but not sure what i can use to keep the decorations on the door and window. I would love your ideas. We are also celebrating 35th wedding anniversary.

The only things I would use are window clings or suction cups for the windows and magnets for the doors. Or maybe those Command hooks? Anything else I would think might run a risk of causing some kind of damage that would need to be cleaned up (like push pins or tape).

yes you can use scotch tape....I went last week and that's what we used and had no problems with sticky left on the window

We're from Wisconsin and are heading to WDW during teacher's convention. Is that when you're going? We're staying at Pop Century from October 26-30.

While on my recent trip to Disney, I noticed so many people decorated their rooms windows with all sorts of disney fun!!! It was really fun walking by other rooms and looking at all the fun pictures/signs/dolls/lights/decorations! Next time I go I will be decorating my window too so fun!
