Decorating Shows. OH NO !

I just told DH that I got to stop watching all kind of decorating shows. . They give me tooooooooo many tips and ideas. We are just starting to repaint and decorate the inside of our home. Now please answer this - we are painting the kitchen in browns and tans, what would black look like for counter tops and accents? We are planning on putting in laminate flooring.

Black would be very good, I would throw some deep reds in to for accent. Even just a table runner if you have a table in there or red canisters for flour and such. Dark red flowers in the window. Etc..

I bought the paint to do our living room but I haven't started yet. Maybe I should be watching more shows.

Hi again. My cabinets are called "Sweet Georgia Brown" Home Depot. Our DD17 is painting them right now. I am sure glad that she loves painting. Now we don't know about the handles and pretend hinges. I would spray painting them black. She wants the accents white because of the fridge and stove.

Are you thinking true white or more of a cream color. Not really yellow but milky looking?
