decorating question kitchen hardware

Does it look weird if you have all one kind of hardware on your cabinets?

IE: if I put these on the drawers AND doors would that be totally strange?

Would it look better if put these in the drawers?

the thing is while I love the colour and they match, I really dont like the pulls. So would it look really strange if I just put the knobs on all the doors and drawers?

I'm having the exact same issue....I have to change out my cabinet hardware and can't decide which way to go. Right now, it's all the same and I don't like the way it looks. I think the original owners tried to do it as cheaply as they could. If I get the hardware I want it could cost a fortune. Looking forward to what others have to say.

ebay can be your best friend here, these same knobs were $3. something at Lowes, theyre $1.25 each from this seller with $4.95 total shipping no matter how many you order.

Cheap isnt my biggest issue here LOL I just hate whats on the new cabinets and I really dont like the pulls, I would much rather have something else but Im not finding anything that matched the knobs that I like either.

binny, we put the same hardware on doors and drawers all the time, nothing strange at all about it. as long as what s there has the single hole for mounting your good,, if hte drawers have 2 holes you will need a different set of hardware, unless the doors can be re drilled to take double screw mounts

We selected pulls that were put on all the cabinets and drawers in our kitchen. I wish I had a picture to show you because I think they look great.

I will 44 of these of then. I hope that doesnt overwhelm the kitchen. I dont think it will. I will be painting all of the cabinets


This is the kitchen as it is now

There is also a banquette and pantry over on the side that is not the picture that will get the same.

I will be painting them a cream colour, then doing a chocolate coloured glaze over them.

What do you think?

All my hardware is the same, a simple brushed nickel knob. I can post a pic if you like.

We have knobs on our doors and pulls on our drawers. It looks great. But I think it would look great with all the same, too.

When I looked at the picture of your kitchen, it looked like the current pulls were on the middle of the doors. Is that where you are going to put the new ones? It looks strange to me. If not, how will you repair the holes left by the old hardware?

I will use wood putty and then sand and repaint and move them to the corners where they should be

binny,, durhams rock hard wood putty is my favorite to use for things like that, the premixed ones sometimes shrink,, be careful mixing hte rockhard if you use it, it must be mixed to a plastic like consistancy, add very little water, then add more by small amounts till its workable, let it dry 24 hours and it should sand out and look fine. ( its a version of the filler putty used by plywood makers to fill gaps in panels.) to match "graining" run the sand paper only in the direction of the grain of your doors.

I don't think there would be anything wrong with using the same hardware on all the cabinets. I have knobs and handles but just knobs would look fine as well!

Anyway, this is a banquette, and ours looks much the same, its octoganal in shape with windows all around, its built in with storage drawers undeneath, the same blue though...

My hardware is exactly like yours only in brass (on white cabinets). All the same.
