Hi Camping Friends,

We are leaving for Disney in just 42 days. We will arrive on Nov. 23 for 16 days. We are so excited. We want to decorate our camper for Christmas when we arrive. We have lots of Disney Christmas Decorations but I need to know what else we need to bring to hook everything up. I told my DH we need to do a trail run but he doesn't seem to be listening to me. This is our first time using lights and such. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Allison

PS. If you want to say a trial run would really help as part of your tip that would be good too. Then I can tell my DH I'm not the only one who things this would help. LOL

extension cords and not the little indoor ones. i like to use those multi outlet plugs-the strip outlet ones with the fault trips? i also cover them with a plastic bag-water protection. ;) if something would have an issue the strip outlet will shut off-or should...

a timer or two- is a good idea. plan to plug at least one group into the post-might be able to have two outlets there. and another one or two into the outside outlet on the camper.

hope it's some help. i'm sorry i'm not into trial runs. you just don't know how your site will be and what lights will work out best. they're all a little different.

Bring everything you have room for and go from there.

LEDs use a lot less electricity, so you can string more of them together. Also We have been known to use an adapter in some outlets so as to not just be limited to the two 20 amp circuits available.

I like trial runs on anything that has to do with Fort camping, but only because it gets me excited about the trip,

And we always like to put up lights, LOTS & LOTS of lights, stuff, signs, etc.
(or at least I do).

When we decorate, we always need heavy duty outdoor extension cords, power strips, timers and zip ties in assorted sizes. Rope and stakes are handy, as is a ladder. We've never done a trial run - if I suggested that my husband would roll his eyes so far into the back of his head that he may never get them up front again.
