decorating desserts

Hey Disboarders, I was wondering if anyone caught the Food Network special "Unwrapped at the Disney World resorts"? They featured a place that kids can decorate their own desserts. It looked so cute. Depending on what "project" your child chooses , they bring the tray filled with all the fixings . I just didn't catch where this wonderful idea and place is. Anyone know of such a place? They also have something like this at both the Yacht Club Galley and Artist Point (as well as other places around WDW, but I don't know for certain what those others are).

Thanks for the suggestions , I went on Foodnetwork and found the show, when it aired etc but no list of who they featured This magical place for example gives you a tray to make a mickey mouse sundae with candy, chocolate chips, gumballs etc to decorate a face. The other example was a ladybug,with licorice for the antennas. It was really cute keep the suggestions coming. I taking my family to the Magic in Novemeber

I watched the special too but deleted from my DVR already... But vaugly remember something about Chef Mickeys coming to mind... maybe was the Grand Floridian (Grand Adventures in Cooking)

There was a recent discussion on this. The only one of those that is still current is the artist palette. All of the cutest things pictured were from Chef Mickey's but now they have pre-made desserts and make your own sundae is the only make it yourself thing. My kids were disappointed from watching the show but once they were eating the sundaes they were happy enough

I think I found it 50's Prime Time Cafe. Has anyone been there that can verify this information?

CRT has edible playdoh that the kids can decorate. If I remember correctly, there were 2 flavors and 1 was peanut butter.

In September we went to the Concourse Steakhouse and my nieces got the cookie to decorate. They were given a little artist palet with the three different colored "paints" along with a paint brush and sprinkles. They loved decorating the cookies but they didn't really eat them. LOL

Concourse Steakhouse has the painter's pallete - it's a sugar cookie shaped like a mickey head. It comes with sprinkles, 3 colors of paint (icing) and a paintbrush. My kids enjoyed this just this Memorial Day weekend. They thought it was fun to play with but said the sugar cookie didn't taste that great.

Before the change, CRT used to have an edible playdoh. I don't know if they have them anymore.

I never thought to add Concourse steakhouse to my ADRs but now I think I will. Is it right next to Chef Mickey's? If it is I remember a little boy trying to look over a plant that was in the way while we were in CM and he was at the steakhouse. Mickey was at our table and the poor boy looked like he want to see Mickey real bad.

Yes that's Concourse right next to Chef Mickey's.

And that Unwrapped show is several years old by now isn't it?

I just found that out! the show aired first in 2003 So I am thinking that Chef Mickey's is the place, its just not as hands on and kid creative as it used to be. thank you dis boarders for all the input

This cupcake is the child's dessert that comes with the meal at Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. I went for the first time a few weeks ago and we really enjoyed it.

we were are the prime time cafe about 5 weeks ago and my 4YO dd got the kids make your own sundae for dessert. it was very cute & she enjoyed the ice creams & the treats to decorate it. i think there were various candies like M&Ms, as well as a couple types of syrups.

Spoodles at the Boardwalk also has a make your own sundae dessert served on a wooden pallette.

My kids loved it.
