Decorated Christmas Trees

Has anyone brought a tree or have one set up in their room this year? I heard you can pay to have a tree delivered and decorated... any truth to this? Prepping for next years trip...

We stayed at AKV Dec. 20-26.

Peggy, of www.peggyssweetsandmore.com delivered a beautiful tree to our room.
We had reserved the tree back in Aug. or Sept. Peggy is a DISer here...goes by the DIS name, "Feralpeg".

We arranged for her to deliver it while we were out of the room, so that DD13 & DS9 would be surprised. She even left the box & packaging that the tree &I Mickey ornaments came in, so that we could easily pack it up & take it back home.

I sent a small tree down to OKW for Xmas 2006 (I just shoved it in my suitcase on the way home ). Here is a picture:

Disney florist also sends decorated trees to the rooms but they are really expensive.

My family usually likes to go away in December. Thanks for the tip a little decorated tree would be a nice treat next time.

Keep your eyes open on these boards come July. We participated in the Dis DVC tree swap this year and it was a lot of fun. WDWstar organizes this, trees are donated by Dis/DVC members, families sign up for the resort they're staying at with the dates they'll be there. You pick up "your" tree when you check in and when your dates are up, you pack the tree up and leave it with Bell Services for the next family on the list. The last family on the list sends it back to it's owner. Here's a pic of the tree we had:

The tree came with decorations, and lights for the balcony (including extension cords) It was really nice to have in our room

We brought our own (shipped it UPS). Here's a pic of it in HGVC, where we spent part of the trip.
