Declined payment

We have a resort only reservation after our cruise and I’m trying to pay the last few bucks on. I called and it has declined all 3 cards. The cards are fine, I’ve called each institution and they don’t even see that Disney had declined them. All 3 institutions are different. AMEX, BoA, Discover. I was told I can pay once we check in which is fine (was just trying to knock it out the way), but I’m wondering if it’ll be an issue at check in. Anybody has this occur?

Did you try again? I’d guess an issue with what the CM was doing or some temporary glitch. I’d try calling back after a while, another CM might have no trouble.

Same happened to me, I called the cards and found out I had a daily spending cap. Once I fixed that it was fine

Could be the network was down, the security on the CM internet was not allowing it as most work from home, typed in a wrong date or CVC code or many other reasons. If it was declined by your credit card company they would see it. Try calling again at a different time.

Weird. We were at Winn-Dixie LBV two weeks ago and my *limit was $101.45 or something like that. I had to pay the $4 balance on another Chase card so what was up with that. The only thing I could think of is we told Chase we'd be in Texas for a couple days in the middle of the WDW trip and didn't go. It happened one other time when I was buying a take out pizza at WDW - declined. We take $300-400 cash but would not have enough to pay for a big bill like that... Maybe the card needs to be run through the reader in person?

Thanks everyone. We tried again today and still no luck. The cm said we can pay at check in but I think I’m just going to buy a Giftcard and then call to pay it with the Giftcard and be done lol

Good, I hope it's done! It is stressful when all those plans don't go so well. I now bring stack of DGC's that I buy through the year in mostly $500 amounts and pay from one card and then go to the next. I'm able to give one to DH or our son and DIL when I want to cover something. It works for us, but what you went through is crazy!

Last time I had to make a payment I had this problem, here's what it was--it was automatically filling in my name in the fields where you enter your credit card info. I think there were two lines, First Name and Last Name. It was putting my whole name in both or something like that. So the name didn't match the name on the credit card.

I felt so silly! I must have tried 20 times.
