Declawing cat or soft paws?

And that means 85% have their claws. Not sure what point you're trying to make here.

I'm guessing the majority of declawed cats are adopted first, which is why there are so many cats left with claws.

Probably not the point she was trying to make, though. :rotfl:

Hi. Thought I'd ring in since I AM a cat. Yes, I get on the Dis boards while my owner is at work...Anywho, I got declawed and I'll tell yea, it was no big deal. I had a good sleep, woke up, and then I was fresh like a new box of litter. Meow.

That's certainly your choice. I too will continue to respond as I see fit. The OP and others who might read this thread deserve to read responses from people who have successfully and painlessly declawed a cat and had no subsequent behavior issues.

I am glad your cats haven't destroyed your furniture. Since the OP specifically complained that her cat WAS destroying her furniture, I felt it was a valid point to make.
My cousin and his wife have 3 cats and all 3 of them have been declawed. They are all very sweet and well behaved cats.

I believe that each pet owner needs to make the best decision for them.
