deck 6 midship or 5 aft?

We sailed last year on deck 5 aft and LOVED the peace and quiet back there. We have a verandah this time and there are cabins available on deck 6 midship (but near the elevator) or deck 5 aft by Tony and Barb's fav. cabin! I am traveling with family and I have an ajoining door on deck 6 but there are no ajoining cabins on deck 5. I really love the idea of my kids being able to run back and forth between 2 rooms, although I'm nervous about the noise and traffic on deck 6. We were spoiled on deck 5! Any advice?

We've been in 6556 and didn't have any issue with noise at all. Even being that close to the elevator we didn't know if it was busy in the waiting area or not as we never heard anything.

If you kids will be using the clubs, mid-ship Deck 6 is PERFECT for running them up/down. That was the only negative on Deck 2 aft (where we stayed the 2nd time) - it was a longer hike to pick up the kids

Last week our group had 6044,6046 and 6048. We were in 6044 and connected with 6046 where my parents were and DS slept. It was great! A few steps to the elevators, one quick trip down to the kids' clubs. The only downside was for some reason some younger teens tended to hang out in the midship elevator lobby on our deck every night, but I don't know why--probably a fluke, most of them must have had rooms on deck 6.
We didn't have straps to keep the door between our room open so we just turned the lock so the deadbolt was out--so they didn't shut all the way.

We stayed in 6550 which is near the mid-ship elevators & it was great. We thought it may be noisey being close to elelvators, but it was not.

Was nice to walk down the steps & get the kids from the clubs!

We have frequently stayed on Deck 6 and 7 near the mid-ship elevators. We always just make sure it's not one of the doors right at the elevators (so we've booked rooms such as 6554) and never had problems with noise from the elevator traffic.

We stayed in 6067, which is RIGHT next to the elevator. It was a great room. We never heard anything, and it was always convenient.....especially to the kid's clubs.

We stayed in 6556 and 6558 and no problems, actually very convenient to stairs which we used more than elevators. Never any problems with noise.

We stayed in 6058 and are booked for 6558, both of which are right in front of the midship elevators. There is no noise problems at all and love the location. Close to everything. Have fun.
