I have seen many posters mention the Deck 4 chairs, but, when I looked at the deck plans there is no area showing deck chairs. Please enlighten me. Are they really that great?
The lounge chairs on deck 4 (literally ON the deck area, they wouldn't show up on any of the deck plans) are cushioned and very comfy. Great place to relax, read a book, take a nap, etc.
Here's a pic of my boys being silly on the Deck 4 chairs on our last night of the cruise...
I only wish I had found this board before our cruise....we didn't even see these big beautiful comfy chairs until the LAST NIGHT of our cruise! How awful
We enjoyed those deck chairs on both our cruises. They are very relaxing to lie back in and look at the ocean, read a book, people watch, or sleep. We just loved them!
No, no, no....those deck chairs are the most uncomfortable things on board and I recommend anyone on the September 10, 2005 cruise to avoid them like the plague!!!!
(Especially those on the starboard side midship)
...and don't forget how dangerous they are with all the lifeboats hovering right over your head!!
Now if you happen to see me already happily ensconced in one, then feel free to try out any of the others......
I love the deck four chairs and am happy to report I had at least two good naps while sitting on one of them! It was very relaxing, the chairs are comfy and it was perfect.
drclaws...what do you mean?! When my family couldn't find me...that is where I would be...with the intention of reading my book, but I always ended up taking a nap. Even when we have a verandah, I spend quality time in the chairs on deck 4! I am so sorry you didn't enjoy them.
Since my upcoming cruise may be the last DCL cruise for awhile I have been instructed by my husband to buy all memorablia I may want...so do they sell deck 4 chairs? Wouldn't that be awesome to have on my pool deck!
Last cruise I didn't buy the clock and have whined about it ever since. DH says that is our first stop on board..get the clock.
But I did hear they would be ESPECIALLY uncomfortable and should be avoided at ALL costs on the September 10, 2005 Western..... I figure I'll just grit my teeth and try one first and let everyone else know after my nap was finished.....
That's what I get for reading too fast! I didn't get past the part where you said they were uncomfortable...I was in such shock I just started typing!

Those blue chairs are one of the most magical things on the Disney Magic. One night I even fell asleep in it until the cleaning guys woke me up at like 4 am, and sent me to my stateroom.
MJ - thank you so much for the links. Now if I can just get dh to agree to purchasing one or two, I'll be relaxing in no time. It will really bring back wonderful memories of our magical cruise!
We took our lives in our own hands a few weeks ago when DH and I spent nearly every morning in these extremely dangerous chairs. No wonder it was so quiet and we had the entire deck almost all to ourselves! I better think twice about using them next cruise!
