Decisions for December

Hi, new to this group! Am planning my 3rd holiday this Dec 8-14 and would like some opinions on resorts. I was originally planning Wilderness Lodge, my other choices are POFQ or Beach Club. Any suggestions? We stayed last yr at POR and found it too spread out, especially with little ones and grandma! Also any idea why the standard views for WL are sold out already? Lastly!! anyone know if they will again be offering special rates for the nov/dec season like last year, that's why I've waited to book , but plan to book in a week or two regardless. Thanks!!!

It sort of depends upon how many people you are needing to fit in the room. If it's no more than 4, then I would say ABSOLUTELY stay at the WL!!!!!!! There is no more beautiful resort at Christmas time!! Well......maybe GF...

We have always stayed at WL during December but just found that we can be at POFQ for $98.12 less per night. It is a short drive over to the Lodge and believe me, for that price difference, we shall make it. The difference will nearly pay for our passes to the parks including the MVMCP. We stayed there last May and found it to be very compact. Your Mom would love it, I am sure. I found it very easy to get around and I have had two knee surgeries and tire easily. Just my $.02 but that is a big difference per room.......

Welcome to the DIS, Stashf!

I say go for the Beach Club! The decorations at the Yacht & Beach Club are amazing, and it's a short walk to the Boardwalk to see even more beautiful decorations! It's very convienent to get back from Epcot after watching the holiday Illuminations! I love staying in the Epcot area.

No word yet on discounts for December yet (unless you have an annual pass and can book a room under the best rate program--check out the board for rates and discounts for more information on that).
