Hi everyone,

heading to Disney on April 20 for 7 days at the Polynesian. I have been trying to apply discount code to no avail. When I called back today to see if there had been any changes (cancellations etc) for the Polynesian, was told by CM that Grand Floridian lagoon view is available. We are currently reserved at polynesian for a lagoon view. The difference in price is approximately $300 less for the Grand Floridian if you figure in that the mini fridge is included and we would be renting one at the Polynesian. Soooooooo...what would you do?? We have stayed at Polynesian last two trips and the kids love it there, but the Grand Floridian looks like it might be fun too. Is the pool better at the Polynesian?? That would be the kids first question!!

Thanks for any input you might be able to provide...I know I'll probably end up being more confused when this is over!!

I think I would go for GF. I love the Poly, but it is nice to experience other hotels. I would love to stay at GF, and to save $300. Think of all the extras you can put that towards!

Less at the GF..I would change in a heatbeat.

I'd enjoy trying a new place--the GF!!!! I've been to Poly---very dark! GF--seems very bright and beautiful. The $300 could be used for meals and shopping. Good luck with your decision.

If the pool is very important, take a careful look at a GF resort map. The main (fun) pool is on one side of the resort, and could be a LONG way from your room.

Just something to keep in mind since that's very important to your kids.

Thank you for your great advice. We are still debating, butthe comment about the possible distance to the pool is extremely helpful, since my two DD's live to go to the pool!!
