Hey everyone, first time poster here. My apologies up front for the length of this post, but I'd really appreciate it if any veterans could soldier through it and give their thoughts.

My girlfriend and I will be in California from June 14th to June 19th, and are planning on spending a few days at Disneyland - but we have a dilemma.

We can't decide wether it would be better to get regular 4 day passes and start our visit Sunday evening (the 15th) + spending 3 longer days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. OR to just get 3 day park hoppers for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. In either scenario we plan to make Wednesday an earlier day in and out, since it will be a grad night.

The reasoning behind these choices is that I'm dying to go longer than three days - pretty much the maximum amount of time she wants to spend - so the compromise would be going for a few hours on Sunday night before doing the full three days. Can't afford 4 day park hoppers.

The three day park hoppers would be so we can at least get a full three days, while also having the choice of going between parks if we want. This seems like an important option since there's not nearly as much that we see ourselves doing at DCA compared to DL. It would be easier for us just to default to this option if it weren't more expensive than a regular 4 day ticket.

So, I guess what it comes down to is this: Is it even worth it to try to get into Disneyland for a few hours on a Sunday night in June? If not, the decision becomes simpler just to go with the three day park hoppers for a Mon, Tues, Wed visit. If it is I could get a few extra hours at Disneyland, which I know doesn't seem like much, but is a big deal to me because I haven't been to a Disney park in about ten years and am not sure when I'll be able to return. :mickeyjum

If anyone has some advice they'd care to offer here, it would mean a lot. Thanks! :)

Orbitz is running a special where you get a 4th day free when you buy 3 day park hoppers. I've heard good things about them and just bought ours.

We always head to Downtown Disney our first night. We have dinner at the ESPN Zone and then walk around, lots to look at. Then we head back to the hotel so we can get up for rope drop. If you are really wanting a 4 day park hopper here are some cheaper prices for you, maybe one of these are more reasonable for you. I have used Orbitz and Way but haven't used Velocity yet. Others have posted good reviews about them.

3 day park hopper
Way.com $240
Orbitz.com $265
VelocityTours.com $243

4 day park hopper
Way.com $269
Orbitz.com $265
VelocityTours.com $257

You can get a few bucks back when you go through Ebates to get to Orbitz. Right now it is either a 1% or 3% cash back. You will have to call Ebates to find out.

Hope this helps. By the way Downtown Disney is free.

I would just do the 3 day hopper if that is all you can afford. When you arrive, walk around downtown disney for an hour or 2, and get ready for longer days starting Monday. Dont let the grad night on Wed change your planning too much. It will mostly only be noticeable in the thrill rides (particularly Space Mountain) later in the afternoon.
