Trying to decide between boardwalk and yacht club for myself and my boyfriend. We are frequent Disney goers and looking to decide between boardwalk and Yacht Club for a split stay in November 2021. Previously stayed at contemporary, wilderness lodge, etc. Looking for an adults vibe while still close to Epcot! Any previous experience is welcomed!

If you like to walk to the parks, stay at BWI. It is a little farther from Epcot than YC but noticeably closer to DHS.

I've stayed at both and both really have an adult vibe to them ( except for the pool at Boardwalk - now it's got Mickey cartoon decor ) . We stayed in a water view room at YC in 2019 and loved it. It was quiet ( which is a feat for early June ) and luxurious. We had a room that faced the canal vs full on Boardwalk/Lake view so that could have something to do with it too. The shower was divine.

Yacht Club. More upscale adult theme and more for a couple with no kids. It’s got a lounge with craft cocktails etc.

Thank you so much for your response!! So having stayed at both - would you say yacht club was more upscale? Adult friendly?

I have also stayed at both and I agree that both are good for adults. Also I don't know if this matters to you, but Yacht Club allows dogs and Boardwalk does not, so if you have a preference in this regard you might like to choose accordingly.

I'd pick Yacht Club. It's slightly further from Epcot, which sounds like a bad thing but to me it means you're a little farther away from the hustle and bustle.

Cape May Cafe is still closed and Beaches and Cream is hard to get a reservation, overrated, and not very adult-focused. Meanwhile Ale and Compass is underrated and easy to get a reservation, plus there's the great lounge whose name escapes me.

I was also deciding between Boardwalk and Yacht Club and eventually settled on YC. The recent room and lobby renovations and dining options alongside the consistent reports that it's a quieter hotel is what made me decide on it.

For me, both are nice, you can find a lot of reviews or information via google. Have a nice day!

We always wanted to stay at Boardwalk so we can enjoy the bars and restaurants like Jellyrolls and be close to Epcot. I'm not even sure what's open on boardwalk at the moment.

Big fan of the Yacht Club over here. The rooms are a nicer style for me, but still have plenty of Disney touches. Since YC is a convention hotel there seem to be less kids staying there, if that's an issue for you. But that could also be a non-issue during Covid times.

We just picked YC - though, did snag a reservation for Beaches & Cream (theme has been toned way down) because one of my Bucket List items is Mickey Pants Sundae... Looking forward to the craft cocktails at YC after hours.

An "adult vibe" you say. My 20 year old grand son's adult vibe probably not what you're looking for. And my 60's vibe (I survived both) might be not your cup of tea ... depending on the legalization laws in your state. BUT .... I'm gonna give you the BIG SPLIT ..... if your vibe is low, slow and mellow ,,,, stay on the quiet side of the lake at Yacht Club. If, however you are "let's go down to the dance hall" you need to be on the Boardwalk vibe. We've been to both / we enjoyed both / each for their own vibe. HAVE FUN!!!

Yacht Club would be my pick. Great dining rooms right there. And just a boat ride across or walk to Boardwalk.
