ok i am a land mark driver so i am going into unknown territory here, but after looking at a town car and waiting on shuttles-offsite i decided to rent a car for 9 days or so am i losing my mind i am scared but i told my family it will be fun or at least funny is driving there pretty simple, i am only using the car to get to universal, seaworld and a resturant and mall or two and i am taking the shuttles to disney any advice

It is very easy to get around in the WDW area. Just get a decent map and you'll be fine. We rent a car all the time and drive to Sea World, Universal, and the numerous outlet malls.

I see you're from IL as am I. Trust me, it's much easier to drive around there than it is in Chicago.

In the past I have gone to Mapquest and gotten directions to specific places I knew we would be visiting off property. i.e. airport to hotel, hotel to restaurant, hotel to shopping center, etc.

If you're really afraid of getting lost, don't forget to get the reverse directions so you know how to get back to your hotel!;)

HTH!

ok i am map retarded

Me too, and I had absolutely NO PROBLEMS getting around the Orlando area. The only way it could be easier is if you were given a guide with the rental car that read the road signs to you!!!!!!! :teeth: Honestly, don't worry about getting around.

Dont rent from National.

Just goes to show every experience is different. I have rented from National many times and have never had a problem.

Have a great trip!!!

Erin :D
